Since I stayed before next door, I felt at home. Great location for walking. It was quiet and great views of the beach.
My TV didn’t work, but they replaced right away and changed batteries for remote and lock. Only two burners worked on the stove but still worked out well.
Perfect spot and convenient parking
Nothing
Place is really quaint and oceanfront view! love that it was pet friendly! Will be coming back
Ocean view, very quiet, balconies are very cute, kitchen amenities are very helpful
it's not the best furnished hotel in the area, but for sure the least expensive for what we got. The hotels in the same area, are far more expensive.
Having better kitchen utensils like 4 glasses, 4 cups, 4 dishes all the same color and shape, or a bowl or a better knife would have higher the value with no expenses. The outside part of the AC was all rust and dangerous.
We walked in & the building smelled like pot & was completely run down. We went up to the unit we were supposed to stay in & the only good thing was the view. I pulled the sheets back & the mattress had mold, blood & was over run with bed bugs. The ceiling over the kitchenette had wet tiles and mold on them. We left and since there was no front desk, I called Expedia. They needed pictures to support my claims, so I unfortunately had to go back up. I sent the pictures to Expedia and they didn't hesitate to make things right, with a full refund.
Location, cleanliness
Indoor pool
Upon arrival it seemed clean. It is an older building. Deeper cleaning would be nice. We had no pets but there was a lot of pet hair on floor and under/behind furniture. I would have swept but no broom. Beer can on side up under bed with liquid in it still. Shower curtain rod rolled off and hit me in the back of the head. States No smoking but you smell it and other forms of smoking habits; strong. Full size fridge, range and microwave were very nice. Access in and out of building nice. Parking by building is limited. Easy to park in their lot across street. Felt safe. For the oceanfront, beach access and short stay w/no frills it is okay.
Roaches. Mattress covered in plastic. Price was too high for a side view room. No one around to help you. Pool is tiny.
We got this place as a emergency
Location
The room was not dirty, but appeared dirty due to the room being outdated and the color of the furniture. When we first walked in, there was a really bad order from someone smoking.
The rooms were nice and it was right on the beach
Clean and friendly! Love that it’s by the beach ❤️
My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing and negatively impacted our family’s beach trip. The entire building, including the elevator, reeked of stale cigarette smoke despite “No Smoking” signs everywhere. The property felt old, outdated, and poorly maintained, with a persistent moldy and mildewy odor in our room. I booked a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit, but it was just two separate rooms awkwardly connected by a door. The smell was so bad I had to buy an air freshener, which barely helped.
The room setup was misleading. The listing promised two queen beds, a sofa bed, and a futon, but we got one queen bed, one king bed, a sofa bed, and no futon—just a random end table and a single chair in its place. This was a problem since we needed the extra bed.
There’s no front desk or on-site staff, which made communication frustrating. All interactions were through email, text, or the hotel.com app. If you need to speak to someone in person, you’re directed to a store across the street, but only between 8 AM and 4 PM. Building access was also inconvenient, with the entrance on the side of the property rather than a proper front door.
Even basic amenities were lacking. The broom provided was rusted, falling apart, and came without a dustpan, forcing us to use paper plates to clean up. Overall, this hotel was a letdown. We dreaded returning to it after our days at the beach. 0/5—do not recommend.
I am sorry but I would not stay at this hotel
Again
It was not well maintained
The price of the room was excellent. The proximity to the beach was amazing, and the closeness of businesses made it easy for us. I enjoyed being able to walk right out onto the beach.
It's true that you get what you pay for. This hotel honestly needs to be remodeled from top to bottom. Upon arrival in our condo, I noticed the sink had not been clean because there was stuff all in it. The stove had paint spots all over it, and the walls were a different story. In the bathroom, there is no ventilation system, so when showering, the steam makes the toilet paper soggy. The bead board? I'm guessing 5hqt is what it is. Is just thrown up. I have numerous pictures where it is bowing and not placed correctly. The edging in the bathroom is terrible. They have just thrown this on the walls without measuring or making the piece truly fit. There were several places on the wall where it was not closed on the inside of the bathroom. The rooms are not controlled by central heat and air. They have a windows unit inside of a rusty box that is barely hanging on. Upon further inspection, the deck above our room was chipping away and had poor patch work on it. The beds are nothing more than a flimsy mattress on a metal frame. There is no box spring. The outlets are on the other side of the room from the beds. The one that I could find on the side with the bed had some dollar tree lamps connected to it. The room I booked was a standard queen, and the beds were full sized. Not to mention, we got four towels and wash clothes. There is not staff available after 4pm on Friday to help with anything. You can arrange to have more towels and a floor mop for $50 extra dollars and has to be reserved 24 hours before you'd like it done. The kitchen was less than pleasing. They had three plates, two bowls, a saucer, three forks, no spoons, two butterknives, and one cutting knife. I managed to find one serving spoon and two pots. They only had a miniature frying pan. I had to purchase all the necessary stuff to be able to cook anything. This room was less than pleasing and I surely hope that they get someone who remodel the rooms and make this old hotel come back to...
Please don’t rely on the booking photos for this property as they are not an accurate representation of the property. I’ll try to keep this short. Arriving at this property will first notice that the whole exterior of the property is rundown and in need of upgrading once you’re inside, you’ll be greeted with the overwhelming smell of weed and must. Once you’re in your room, you will see that the photos you seen are nothing like the room you are actually getting. The beds shown in the photo are actually cheap metal bed frames which creek and make noises so loud and are so unstable that you’ll be scared to turn over in the bed out of fear that it’s gonna fall apart. That’s if you can get to sleep because the bed is positioned so that the air conditioner is blowing in your face the entire night.
While I didn’t pay top tier price for this place it wasn’t the cheapest either, I was expecting a little bit more based upon the photos that I seen. This is another property where the owners put the least amount of money possible into the furnishings, and the upkeep of the property and their gifts are the ones that have to suffer with it.
