Scandale à Santa Elena
Pros:

Emplacement proche du centre ville, possibilité de se déplacer à pied.
Bon petit déjeuner.

Ne louez surtout pas la chambre « triple avec SDB privative » c’est une pièce insalubre, sans fenêtre, avec des insectes qui grouillent sur et dans les murs. Il y avait une odeur nauséabonde de produits ménagers. Nous avons pu changer de chambre le lendemain moyennant supplément (les gérants n’ont fait aucun geste, malgré l’état de la chambre louée).
S’agissant du paiement, nous avons été forcées de payer en cash, sinon les gérants voulaient nous appliquer 13% « de taxe » alors que le prix de booking incluait déjà la TVA de 13%. Cette taxe de 13% soit disant applicable aux paiement par carte est un mensonge. Quand nous avons voulu payer en cash, en colons, les gérants nous ont demandé des dollars, ou alors voulaient nous appliquer un taux de change délirant. Ce n’est qu’au bout de 30 min de discussions et en leur montrant le taux de change affiché par la Banque Centrale du Costa Rica, qu’ils ont cessé leur chantage. C’est scandaleux, nous n’avions jamais vu ça depuis le début de notre voyage

bon emplacement, personnel très sympathique, cuisine bien équipée et propre. petit déjeuner correct et consistant.

Chambre très sommaire, peu de place et pas insonorisée. pas beaucoup d'eau chaude pour 3 personnes

Riesenzimmer!
Pros:

Das Zimmer war RIESIG! Drei Doppelbetten, Esstisch mit drei Stühlen, eigene Spüle, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Geschirr. Trotzdem hätte man dazwischen noch tanzen können.
Balkon mit Sitzmöbeln.
Dazu eine gut ausgestattete Gemeinschaftsküche mit Esstischen drinnen und draußen.
Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür.
In wenigen Minuten im Zentrum, mit Restaurants, Läden, Touranbietern - ohne Lärm und Gedränge. Tolle Aussicht vom Balkon.

Cons:

Puh - mal wieder ein Bad mit so einem Duftstein oder Duftbeutel im Mülleimer. Ich wünschte mir, dieses Chemiezeug würde verboten - es hat mir mehrere Aufenthalte vermiest. Lasst das doch einfach weg, braucht kein Mensch.
Statt dem dritten Bett wäre bei der Raumgröße vielleicht eine Sitzgruppe oder zumindest zwei bequeme Sessel fein, grade auch, weil es kein Schönwetterort ist.

Lugar muy tranquilo
Pros:

La relación calidad precio, súper bien
La habitación correcta, con baño y agua caliente
El desayuno muy completo, lo preparaba la señora a la hora que nos iba bien
El comedor con una gran vista
esta en el centro y con los datos que nos dieron llegamos muy bien

Very friendly staff,good breakfast. We enjoed communal kitchen,which compensates the lack of the space in the room.

Cons:

Very basic,just for sleeping few nights. We missed a rack or something else to put things in. But the value for money was great,especially when you spent the whole day on various activities.

Pros:

The cabin is right in town yet nature all around you. They fed agoutis right at our front door. Saw green parrots, mot mots and lots of birds right outside our door. However, we could walk right down 2 blocks to the grocery store.

Zwischenstopp in Santa Elena
Pros:

Großes geräumiges Dreibettzimmer mit Blick auf die Berge. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Kurzer Fußweg bis in die Stadt oder so. Das Frühstück war spartanisch aber gut.

Cons:

Sehr hellhörige Zimmer mit dünnen Wänden zum Nachbarzimmer.

Perfect Stay in Monteverde!
Pros:

Perfect place in Monteverde.

Rooms are large, beds are comfortable and clean, parking is right in front and it’s a 3 minute walk to most restaurants and stores.

Staff were very friendly and easy going.

Very minor thing but you can sometimes hear road noise - but all solved with some ear plugs!
