A lovely place to stay in a great location
Pros:

Very clean. Very comfortable. Very good welcome.

Cons:

Nothing, everything was fine for us, but the stairs up to the top rooms, where we were, are a bit steep, so when booking maybe check the access.

Pros:

Everybody was super friendly, the hotel was very clean al be it somewhat dated but you can see that they are doing lots of work to make it even better, we have no issues about our stay and even had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Very well located, free parking, tea coffee and fans in the rooms a bonus.

The hosts have only recently taken over The Durbeyfield and are doing a great job of operating this quaint, cosy hotel while in the process of updating it.

Sunny seaside stay
Pros:

Lovely stay, such comfy beds, clean and spacious family room. Wonderful owner who recently took the place over, incredibly attentive and even put up a stair gate for our toddler. Tower fan in the room helped us stay comfortable in the hot weather

Cons:

It was a wonderful stay but I do think it would be worth changing the carpet in the bathroom for a tiled floor - much easier when you're staying with young children.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

Greeted by our lovely hosts on arrival, so personable, friendly and informative - just a pleasure to meet. Our rooms were comfortable and well equipped - lovely fluffy towels in the spacious ensuite and full set of toiletries and hairdryer also included a tower fan which kept my room cool throughout my stay.

There is a bar which is open to non-residents (a pint was cheaper than the nearest pub), which was lively and fun on the evening we stayed. The team recommended local restaurants too which was helpful.

We were told on arrival that the hotel is going through an upgrade and renovation and the current prices reflect that. This is a great venue and I look forward to returning to it and seeing the improvements
