Pros:

The guesthouse owner was very friendly and accepted my request to drop off my bags in the establishment so that I can roam around before the check in timing

Cons:

It's a little far from the station. Apart from that, it's pretty much in the center of most of the attraction spots

Pros:

Le responsable de la résidence était adorable. Les petits à côté (thé, brosse à dents, yukata,...) étaient appréciable. Et la propreté de la résidence.

Cons:

Des petits soucis avec le système de verrouillage de la porte de la chambre et des problèmes d'éclairage. Mais rien de très dérangeant.

Highly recommended in Kawazu
Pros:

Can't recommend this place enough, the staff will do anything to help you, it's really great value for money and there was an onswn bath in the shared bathroom. The accommodation was clean and comfortable.

Please note that they allow smoking in the rooms.

Great for a short stay
Pros:

The room itself is like an apartment room, with a living area, large fridge and eating area. The pension is one large building separated into 4 separate rooms on the top floor. The pension has a lovely large sized communal bath and shower, which you have to schedule use for earlier in the day. The heated rug is lovely.

Cons:

The owner offered to pick us up from the station, but when we got to Kawazu station, was uncontactable via the Booking.com app. We had been in contact earlier in the day and the previous day to confirm when we were arriving. We walked the 20 minutes to the pension, to find a sign on the door that said that the owner had gone out and to call the number listed. We called and said he would be back in an hour. I told him that's unacceptable and he came back within 5 minutes. He was very friendly when he was showing us around however.

Pros:

The location is a little far from the station, but there are parking spaces for those who drive, and there is a tennis court outside the house for exercise. The owner is very enthusiastic and will make you a pot of coffee in the morning.

Beautiful lodging, great value
Pros:

Kindest and most helpful host! I loved my stay here. Kawazu is a charming town in a beautiful area and worth visiting. Easy access to buses and not too far from Kawazu Station. I loved the paper window shades!

Highly recommended place to stay in Kawazu
Pros:

Highly attractive price in hot season of Kawazu, free pick up from station, kitchen and washing machine available and on top of all the hospitality of Mr. Kishi.
