Classic hostel feel proud together by a great host
Pros:

The location was excellent. It pretty close to the train station and the neighborhoods around the hostel were great for walking around. The facilities were excellent and our host was great. We got our own room which was quiet and spacious. Showers were good. The kitchen was super cute and there was a bunch of local recommendations provided. Lots of signs up about keeping noise down which was nice.

Cons:

If I had to get nit picky the only thing I didn't like was that they charged for towels. It wasn't expensive, but just seemed a little ridiculous.

The perfect destination in Matsumoto with a host that goes out of his way to make your stay perfect.
Pros:

Takai the owner was sooooo helpful, it made all the difference to my stay in Matsumoto. I loved the book he made describing the different restaurants and what their specialities were. So much love and hard work have gone into making this place special. Takai was patient and answered all of my questions and went out of his way to help me. I am very grateful for his kindness and consideration.
Lots of eating and drinking places are only a few minutes away as is the castle. It's also only about 15 minutes walk from the station so even with a suitcase I could walk here.

The best accommodation we had in Japan. Absolutely brilliant
Pros:

It was a great space to stay in, excellent location, the interior was funky, clean and very comfortable. Our host was very helpful and informative. Having tea and coffee available in the communal kitchen was great. Excellent value for money.

Pros:

We had a great experience at the hostel. The person at reception was super helpful, kind and gave us great tips to check out local spots. The option to use the bikes was great and the local food guides were incredible. So much detail and love put into them.

The facilities were really clean and had a great calming atmosphere.

Would love to be back!
