Lovely house and in a quiet neighborhood with a good amount of space. The host were very kind and helpful.

Tadashi&Yuki-san are very kind and patient to help everything and provide the useful information including traffic, tourist spots and so on. Moreover, sweets are served everyday. I did enjoy my stay in their comfortable and cozy house. If l visit Kyoto again, l will definitely choose their house.

혼자 여행자이고, 게스트하우스에서 숙박하는 건 처음이었습니다. 주인 부부께서 굉장히 친절하시고, 숙소에 도착하기 전부터 교통편이나 도착 시간 같은 것에 대해 많이 소통하며 최대한 편의를 봐 주려고 노력하셨습니다. 공용 화장실과 샤워실(세탁기, 욕조), 부엌(요리 가능) 모두 깨끗하고 잘 정돈되어 있었습니다. 주인 부부는 1층에 사시고 손님은 2층에 묵기 때문에 생활하면서 마주칠 일은 드뭅니다. 숙소 뷰도 고즈넉하니 좋고, 가까이에 편의점도 있습니다. 다음에 교토에 여행하게 된다면 반드시 이곳에 한 번 더 묵고 싶습니다. 하루만 있다 가는 게 너무 아까울 정도로 좋았습니다.

Tadashi and Yuki were extremely attentive, gentle, and patient. The room was very clean, and the nearby temple was an incredible surprise that truly amazed me. It’s a pity that we only stayed for one night, but the experience was wonderful. Highly recommended.

It is very clean, warm, everything is very convenient. Tadashi-san and Yuki-san were amazingly kind and helpful. It felt like home.

We had a such a great time staying at Tadashi and Yuki's guesthouse. It felt like home, Yuki left us a different sweet everyday with a note and they were all delicious. Tadashi picked us up from the station and took a detour to show us part of Goin festival. He also had a lot of maps and suggestions for our stay, even a hand drawn map of a walk to see the local area. Its a great location, not in a busy or loud area, there is a bus stop just around the corner and a couple of shops and restaurants right near by. There is also a few main shrines and temples a short walk or bike ride away. They provide bikes and washing machine use for no charge.

The accommodation was super clean and smelt really good. It was comfortable and spacious with a living room and kitchen with fridge and cooking equipment. The room looks out over a shrine and mountains in the background.

Yuki san and Tadashi san are very accommodating, and super nice. Tadashi san even went to a nearby event at the same time as us and was sweet enough to translate for us when we didn't understand directions. The facilities are very nice and very good value for money. The hosts also have very thorough and in my opinion very good advice for local hikes/attractions and restaurants! And the view of the temple from the western style room is phenomenal.

The couple that owns this property are such an incredibly lovely people! They picked me up from Kyoto station when I was arriving and gave tips on what's some good places to eat or visit nearby. They're so down to earth and it feels like they become your family while staying in their property. I wish I'll get a chance to go back!

My experience at Nishimura Guest House was an absolute delight. Situated in a tranquil neighborhood, it offers easy access to Kyoto's main attractions, whether by a short bus ride or a pleasant walk. I began my days by visiting the shrine just across the street, then followed the owner's recommended route, armed with a handy map.

My room was not only spacious and flooded with natural light, but the bed boasted the comfiest mattress I've ever encountered. The bathroom and fully-equipped kitchen facilities were splendid, making it feel like a genuine home away from home in Japan.

Yet, what truly set this stay apart was the genuine warmth and kindness of Tadashi and Yuki, the hosts. Their joyful welcome, attentiveness to my every need, and daily surprises with delightful treats created a memorable experience. They even arranged to dry my soaked sneakers overnight, an unexpected gesture of kindness. If you're seeking a relaxed and convenient place to stay in Kyoto, you've just discovered it. Congratulations!

Tadashi insisted on picking me up from the train station, on his day off as well. Himself and Yuki are lovely people and very welcoming. Everthing is meticulously clean and the bed was so comfortable, i had the first decent nights sleep since arriving in Japan 6 days previous. There is a view of a Buddhist temple out of the bedroom window and the neighbourhood where the property is seems safe and quiet.

Our favourite stay during our trip to Japan. The hosts were very welcoming and always happy to help us with our questions! I would recommend this guest house to anybody considering to visit Kyoto. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but not too far from some major tourist attractions. The hosts also suggested a walk around the neighbourhood with some lovely quiet/calm temples.

The hosts were the nicest and most welcoming people. The husband dropped us off at the train station in the morning. Room had a view ok the local temple and facilities were very clean. Calm area, nice to get away from the tourist chaos. I highly recommend this guest house.

1. Hospitality: Very kind hosts who helped me with my travel plans for the next day including creating my itinerary and providing the train times to get to my next destination.

2. Hospitality: Greeted with tea and snacks to enjoy while getting tour and safety briefing. All things labeled in Japanese and English. Tea and coffee in room and towels in bathroom.

3. Cleanliness: Super clean and designed well. Top floor is guest house and couple lives downstairs.

4. Great view: Overlooks temple out the window and transitional Japanese homes.
