A Gem
Pros:

Nothing short of wonderful. Slightly quirky decor, which only added to its charm. A short stroll to Poulteney Bridge, and the Roman Baths.

Fantastic place to stay
Pros:

Dukes is a beautiful small hotel, very stylishly decorated.
We had a four poster room and loved it. A huge bedroom with a seating area. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a walkin shower and a bath. All very beautifully finished.
It's in Great Pulteney Street but very quiet. We had the windows open at night and hardly any noise. And just a 5 min walk and you're at Bath Abbey.
Good breakfast menu and a bar with an outside terrace to relax with a cocktail. Staff were all very polite and friendly.
We highly recommend staying here.

Pros:

Cons:

Not the experience we expected
Pros:

Not quite as good an experience as we would have expected.
When we arrived we were advised we had been upgraded to a better room, great!
We were given the Grafton Room.
What we were not told is that the upgraded room was on the second floor (four flights of long stairs), next to a room which was being renovated. There were tools and a ladder outside our door so we could hear banging and dull thuds from within our own room for long periods.
The room was okay, no real view, it was missing a fan, so we had to go and report that and there was a down light hanging out from the shower area with an exposed wire, not exactly safe!
This hotel is not cheap and so we feel it was not worth what we paid.
