Stay was decent for the money i had paid.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and the room was fairly clean. The locality was quite peaceful.

Cons:

There were cockroaches under the bed. No wifi.

Clean place and good food. Insensitive and unyielding staff(just one)
Pros:

Very clean and quite neighborhood plus the restaurant was a hidden gem. Good Chinese food.

Cons:

Manager or receptionist there seemed to be inexperienced. Could have let us known, that the scanner was broken, we could have prepared a hard copy for him well in advance. Kept on insisting that he required a hard copy. I was unrelenting to let my passport be with him, so offered the solution of going to the market, around 700m from the hotel. However, both available 'xerox booths' were closed. Upon negotiating Kolkata's humidity and the uncomfortable trudge back to the hotel, a senior manager, I believe, just required soft copies of the documents in WhatsApp. It was perplexing to note that the previous receptionist or manager kept on insisting for a hard copy when he could also have offered me the same solution. Unnecessary harassment and typical Kolkata insensitivity towards customers.
