Pros:

De mooie natuur en de ruim opgezette kamer.

Cons:

De restaurant ervaring van het personeel. Er waren twee mannelijke hele fijne waiters, echt complimenten daarvoor. Het overige personeel wist volgens mij niet zo goed wat ze aan het doen waren.

Het was ook jammer dat er in de kamer maar 1 handdoek per persoon aanwezig was.

Pros:

Es war das erste Hotel auf unserer Reise und es war direkt ein richtig toller Start in den Urlaub. Die Anlage mitsamt Poolbereich ist super groß, ruhig, wunderschön gepflegt und einfach perfekt, um erst mal anzukommen und runterzukommen. 👌😊

Ein kleines Highlight sind auch die weißen Hasen, die man beobachten kann - und wir haben außerdem eine Schildkröte und (wir glauben) Mangusten gesehen. 😊

Das Essen war ebenfalls lecker und vor allem war das gesamte Personal unheimlich freundlich und herzlich ❤️

Wir haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt und können das Hotel absolut empfehlen 💯

Exceptional African Paradise

It was amazing! The staff, the location, the calm, the pool, and the staff again because they were amazing!

Great stay, good food and better nights sleep!
Pros:

Love the room and the bed was so comfortable! The staff were very nice . Stephen and the ladies were very accommodating. Great after Kilimanjaro hike to relax .

Cons:

The laundry was a bit expensive .

An oasis of peace
Pros:

This was one of the best properties I ever stayed at. Located a bit away from the centre, nested in a tranquil area, the hotel is lush and very comfortable with a lovely pool and immersed in the greenery. What made my stay even more special was the staff (special shoutout to Manny, Anna and Elia) who always knew you on a first name basis making you feel at home and always looking for ways to help you and make your stay more comfortable. I recommend without hesitation and look forward to staying there again someday.

Es un lugar agradable, tiene linda arquitectura y abundante naturaleza

Cons:

No te avisan que no reciben dolares con una fecha de emisión inferior a 2009, aunque en los demás hoteles y comercios de Tanzania los reciben sin problema. Les manifesté que si no me recibían al menos un billete así, no podría comer en mis días de estancia y tendría que viajar hasta la ciudad, pero les dio igual. Me parece desconsiderado con una persona que ha viajado desde el otro lado del mundo y no tiene facilidad para usar sus servicios financieros. Ya había pagado 500 USD en billetes con fecha actual, así que creo que recibir uno y luego cambiarlo en la ciudad no era tan dificil para un local. Además pedí ayuda para conseguir una bolsa de café. Primero me dijeron que costaba 12 USD, pero a la hora de pagar resultaron 20 USD. Además me pidieron más dinero para un tour que había reservado con ellos desde hace mucho tiempo, supuestamente porque se habían equivocado de precio, cuando explicitamente les había manifestado que iba solo. Al final se respetó el precio, pero fue incomodo porque se sintió como si me estuvieran regalando algo. Por último, en todos los días de estancia nadie aseó la habitación. No se si es porque un día me quedé dentro, pero usualmente en los hoteles te avisan para que des una vuelta mientras. En resumen es un buen lugar, pero hay cero interés en resolver las dificultades que se le presentan a un cliente por su falta de claridad

Great place, I recommend to All.
Pros:

We love it, simply amazing place worth the money and very lovely stuff.

Cons:

There is nothing we didn’t like only recommendations to add a min bar/fridge on the room and the executive room pool was quite cold so heating system would be useful for the month of July. Otherwise everything is superb.

Perfect & beautiful retreat in Moshi
Pros:

I absolutely loved everything here and would 100% rebook when I come back to Tanzania. Tulivu is situated in a quiet area surrounded by the most beautiful gardening work. Tropical plants are every where you turn, and provide such a serene atmosphere for a peaceful and lovely stay. This was the best accommodation I had in Moshi and even wanted to stay longer!

The rooms are thoughtfully decorated, clean, and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable for me (I tend to like more firm beds, and this was it!). The pool provided a nice respite from the hot afternoons. Breakfast was great - plenty of options from fruit, pancakes, bread, hot options (vegetables, potatoes, cassava, etc.), made to order eggs, and chia seed pudding.

Staff is very friendly and super helpful with anything you need. They can help arrange day trips/activities as well as transport around town.

What a perfect stay here, truly 10/10. Can't wait to come back!!

Incredible stay at this lovely retreat Feb 4 to Feb 6th 2025 !!
Even though this retreat was highly rated it exceeded my expectations in regards to the existing review ratings !!
It has beautiful accommodations with a Spa like feel, high quality rooms and bedding, with exceptional design.
The property is absolutely stunning with beautiful landscape vegetation and flowers everywhere, outdoor pool with swim up cocktail bar, fire pit area, nicely appointed lounging areas, and comfortable outdoor dining areas.
The Breakfast and food is delicious and the whole retreat is sparkling clean !
The quality of service is well above average from this retreat, with outstanding Management ( Manny and staff ) they were attentive, polite, and super helpful in all aspects of their service, these folks go above and beyond to serve you !
My wife and I are fairly well travelled ..Canada, US, New Zealand, Australia, South America, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican, Ukraine, Thailand, Dubai, Africa ..
Congratulations to Manny and staff for this lovely experience !

Oasis in the Kili area
Pros:

We did choose Tulivu relying a lot on the positive reviews from other travellers and they all have been very right. Tulivu is an oasis in the hustle of Moshi and Kilimanjaro area. It is a perfect platform for departures to hiking, tours and trips You might wish to have while staying there. Manny gave us many good recommendations and also organized everything we needed. The staff at the site is very kind and service minded,
The facilities are great - you can swim in a big pool, enjoy cold beer or relax in the green lush garden. And bunnies in the garden were sweet. There are special spots marked in the garden with the best views on Kili, very thoughtful.
Room with the pool view is recommended - as You can actually not just look at this, but also take a small dip in front of Your door.

Cons:

The last 200 m of the street/road to the resort may scare you off, but this is probably out of reach for the hotel.
Wifi in the public areas was excellent, but not in the room far from that.
Being in the coffee plantation area I’d expect good coffee (not instant one) be part of standard breakfast offering.
