Pros:

Super location and great curb appeal. Hard working staff and thank you for putting a fan in our room as we were there during the heatwave. Bed was comfy and a good size room which had everything you needed. We ate in the restaurant both nights for convenience, lovely Sunday roast

Cons:

Would prefer to have curtains or blackout blinds

Pros:

Staff very pleasant. Breakfast reasonable.
Recently refurbished to a very nice standard for such an old building.

Cons:

Asked if we'd like dinner. Initially told it was at 5.30. When we said that was too early we were told we could have it later if we wanted up to about 8pm.
No mention of a bar. Came back at 9 pm and looked for bar but door into room we thought might be bar was closed. Saw next morning (after 2 nights) that that was indeed the best.
Ate out!

Pros:

The large room and en suite with superb natural lighting. The historical quirkiness e.g.getting to my room via a mediaeval spiral staircase.

Cons:

Being 6'1", the very low doorway at the bottom of the spiral staircase.

A step back in time
Pros:

What we liked about Moresby hall it was very atmospheric the original features were still there from the window to the wooded beams and 12th century curved stair case the staff told us about the history of the place

Cons:

There was nothing to dislike

Pros:

Joint owner (?) Stephanie was terrific. When Satnav failed she guided us by phone and waited outside to flag us down. Was so welcoming and knowledgeable. Room was lovely and named " Munro " as is our grandson. All in all, a great experience!

Cons:

Nothing! Although it is a little tucked away if not familiar with the area?First
