The host was very kind, extremely accommodating, and spoke excellent english. The room was clean and well-furnished. Although I was initially unsure about the bed as the springs made some noise when I first got into the bed, it turned out to be very comfortable. Noise in the neighborhood was essentially non-existent, and the area felt very safe overall. Wifi was easy to access and reasonably fast. Around a 20-minute walk to Vincennes Station, but there is a Velib (Parisian bike-sharing) parking spots in the area. Shower had good water pressure and towels were very clean.

Although it would have been nice to have a fan in the room, this was only because I visited during an historic heatwave in Europe (Sept. 2023). The particular room in which I stayed has a glass window in the door, which may be concerning for single female travelers, but my understanding is that it is possible to lower a shutter in front of the door.

It is a little bit out of the way, but no more than 30-40 minutes into central Paris even if you walk.
