It was lovely to be in such a quiet location, while still being convenient to town. We appreciated having access to a kitchen during our stay. There weren't many affordable pet-friendly options available at the time we booked, so it was nice to find this one.
The place gives off an air of disrepair (minus the animals, they appear happy and well cared for). It's not bad, but for the price, I would expect it to be better taken care of. For example, we stayed in the Fairy Suite, which the listing boasts has great views. And it did, but the windows were filthy, so we couldn't enjoy those views. There was a yoga mat provided in the room, which was a nice touch, but it was dirty, and there was no spray or cleaning supplies provided for it. The "fairy lights" leading to the room are mostly burnt out. Again, none of this is a huge problem, but we paid a total of $160/night for just a room, included a $90 cleaning fee, so I expected it to be nicer and also to be clean.
Convenient location within 15-20 min of West Sedona and attractions. The unit is away from the main reception area so it has a lot of privacy and is quiet. Bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. Everything in the room and common areas were very clean. A heater was provided which was very effective at warming the room. We were able to make breakfast and coffee in the common kitchen which had all the cooking utensils provided. It was a great price for Sedona standards. The surrounding was very rustic and charming with little lights and decorations, and seating areas scattered around the property. Great experience for a homestay vibe as opposed to traditional hotel stays. Beautiful views of the stars at night.
The bathroom is about 2 min walk away, which the host did kindly inform us beforehand, and is just a mild inconvenience in exchange for the value-for-money price we paid.
Beautiful land and communal kitchen and house was nice. It was cool to stay next to the horses. The house is filled with quirky things.
If you are willing to rough it and want a quiet spot away from tourists, the low cost may be worth it. Ultimately it was a humbling experience and I appreciate home more than ever!
Not having a bathroom was far from ideal. There is nobody there to greet you and their help is not availble after hours so if there is an emergency there is no support. The room and whole place had a strange smell. The curtains in the room also fell on my head and fell a few times. The unpaved rocky road to get there was aweful- I had a tiny Fiat so it was pretty hard to drive on. It's not far from town but the road makes it pretty difficult to access.
I loved being so close to nature, and everything within the facility was so well considered and comfortable.
I absolutely loved this space! The healing energy on the land was palpable and the fairy suite was magical.
I love the property. It gave me a sense of calm and helped me recharge some of my energy. I felt safe and relaxed during my stay. I would recommend to anyone looking to getaway and reset.
Honestly nothing could’ve been better because it was just exactly how it needed to be.
I loved the location being out in the country and seeing the stars at night. I did get used to not having a bathroom attached which gave me the opportunity, even in the middle of the night, to view the amazing stars!
I either didn't see it advertised or it wasn't advertised that there was not a bathroom attached to the cabin.
Actually the place is quite nicely decorated and being so far off from everything you have some beautiful starlit skies. I'm quite sure Meghan put some spiritual effort in it - but well... she just was never around.
Unfortunately this was so far our worst experience with booking. The place is way outside of Sedona and at the end it is hardly a road, so better don't come with a normal car.
If the place is difficult to find, the room is even more difficult since there is no one there. One guy ran around saying he was a friend but didn't know anything. The main builing is always open, so everyone can come in, whether friends or not.
The Fairy Suite is outside the main building, you have to pass a meadow, a patio, then another meadow and 2 funny small clay huts with openings covered with spider webs. It is nice to sit on the patio in the evening, but be aware: the meadows get sprayed in the evening, so you'll always have wet feet and sometimes you are even sprayed yourself. Great planning indeed.
Meghan was so clever NOT to close the curtains so when we arrived it was not the Fairy Suite but the Fairy Stove.
The bathroom and the kitchen are in the main building (be prepared for wet feet again) and we were lucky that we were the only guests because otherwise it could have been a que: there is only 1 shared bathroom/toilet.
We didn't see anyone until the last night when a lady showed up. Maybe it was Meghan but we were not really greeted, so who knows? Al the other days no one was there. We were completely by ourselves.
But...if there is no one around all the time...why are there 46US$ cleaning charges charged per night? The bin in the bathroom hasn't been emptied during our visit and the Fairy Room had some spiderweb hanging from the ceiling when we arrived. We didn't bother and neither did the not present cleaning service: it was still hanging when we left.
Means the cleaning charges are quite easily a scam, nothing sacred about that.
Communication (online) was also a bit cold: we were asked where the bottle of white wine from the fridge was. We never saw any, so maybe the guy who said he was the friend?
I had the most tranquil stay here with the perfect balance of comfort and peaceful nature.
Beautiful surroundings and view.😍😍🥰
The big spider in my room.🙈🥶The towels had a musty smell..
How quiet and off grid it was. Definitely a great place to go and decompress from the outside world. Thank you Meaghan for being such an amazing host!
Nothing. It was perfect.
I just loved my experience, the out of town distance, the tranquil atmosphere, the Fairy Suite and ease of everything from booking to checking in/out !
That I couldn't stay longer !
I really liked the energy of the sanctuary. The grounds were well kept, and very sacred. Very peaceful and surrounded by pretty butterflies!
My dog loved our suite, and even made friends with the other dogs!
