nice room and air con, poor management of some basic essentials. could be wonderful as it was could do better
Pros:

the room was nicely decorated, clean and air conditioning was great

Cons:

No english breakfast tea, only fruit teas and the room is a separate entrance to the main building so would have had to go outside to go back in to the bar. i phoned the pub 4 times and wasn’t answered. so no tea for us! more worryingly no fresh drinking water in the middle of a heat wave. Really poor you should at least have access to drinking water. There was a fridge in the room but no water in there and the “cold” tap in the basin ran really warm even when running it for over 5 minutes. Again phoned and nobody answered -9:30pm on a friday night but i know the bar wasn’t busy so very surprising. what if someone had an accident the re was nobody to contact. Was thirsty all night. water kept at over 20deg can harbour legionella! but i was so thirsty in the end i had to have a glass of warm water. when i mentioned the tea and water issues the next day there was no apology or offer of any goodwill gesture just a young lady who didn’t really know way to say who shrugged their shoulders. would have asked to speak to the manager but had already waited 10 mins for someone to check me out and needed to get going. Need to get housekeeping sorted and the basics. if the cold water tap isn’t cold they need to provide bottled water in the fridge.

Cute place. Great food and service. Overall enjoyed.
Pros:

It had so much character. The food and the service was nice. The room was so lovely and different from a hotel. Highly recommend. And get breakfast. It was delicious.

Cons:

There was no shower curtain so felt no privacy and getting water out of the tub. Also the tea kettle in the room was moldy inside. Pretty unsanitary.

A pleasant stay
Pros:

The room was large and quiet, very clean and the tea/coffee etc were refilled generously. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was tasty with generous portions and the beer garden was lovely in the hot sunny weather.

Cons:

I booked this place at it was supposed to serve real ale so imagine my crushing disappointment to arrive on the Monday to find three empty pumps and no real ale on at all. Granted by the second evening the barman put one on for me but there was no pump clip displayed.
Our room (3) had a low ceiling so anyone tall would have had problems and the bathroom was up some winding stairs.

Well located , good parking , good food in the restaurant , and it’s air conditioned.
Pros:

Quality of fittings in the room , including the air conditioning . Lovely gardens .

Cons:

Security on bedroom and exterior entrance / exit door….doors are not self locking! Needs a serious rethink.
We had someone burst into our room at 2.30am, who came bang and crashing down the hallway . The person realising his error , apologised , but this gave us serious concern for other occupants .
The person I can only assume was worst for wares through drink , but this was most alarming .

Breakfast on the second morning , available from 9.00am on Saturday ??? And it was somewhat disjointed.
Hard Boiled eggs served with no egg cups , served up with fried bread eggie soldiers ??? Toast served with no butter. Cutlery missing from the breakfast .

Admittedly , on both days , we sat outside in the garden as it was so hot.

The breakfast served the morning before at 8.00am was perfect.

Lovell hotel with great staff - food really good as well
Pros:

The room was lovely and the food is really good. Staff especially Connor could not have been more helpful - really could not have done anymore to help us enjoy the stay

Cons:

Not much really - room ceiling was a tad low for a 6ft 3 person but I was well warned going in but it was a minor inconvenience

Would definitely stay again and would recommend as very good value for money.
Pros:

Perfect for our 1 night stay with all the facilities you’d expect in a hotel room.

Cons:

Needs a bit taking off the bottom of the bathroom door as it didn’t fully close.
Could do with some curtains as the window shutters and window in the door let a lot of light in first thing.
