Nothing really new owners were super.
The room is tastefully decorated. The staff are very nice. Bed was comfortable and the en-suite spacious. The bar / restaurant downstairs is nice and the staff attentive. Happy to recommend.
Unexplainable strong cigarette smoke was wafting directly outside my room. Plus my booking had a room with a desk and bath but I was given a different room with neither. No great issue I just worked downstairs in the bar.
Clean room, comfy bed, plenty of space to hang clothes.

The evening good in the pub was tasty and good value.

The room was extremely warm due to underfloor heating on full-blast with no way to turn it down/off, and on the ground floor so leaving the windows open overnight didn't feel ideal (and also an absurd waste of electricity!).
Breakfast was said to start at 7am, though the entire pub was closed and locked with no sign of breakfast right up until I left at 8am, and there were no instructions about it in the room besides 'breakfast from 7am' and no other communication from staff on this at check-in.
No details about check-out and no members of staff around the morning.
The taps in the bath dripped constantly despite my best efforts to turn them off.
There is no sound insulation between rooms so I had to listen to a neighbours lengthy phone conversation until very late.
The TV did not work.
Pub was good, food decent and staff nice.
I couldnt get the shower warm, had to have a cold shower and not that clean in there.
Superior room was v small, no bedside tables.
Batteries in remote dead, air-conditioning didn't go super cold.

Car Parking spaces were limited and tight at front of pub, but parking at back more than adequate

Needed brighter lighting to be able to see to do makeup properly it was a little dark.

Friendly team and good food
Booked a superior room as was expecting a freestanding bath. Assumed I had made a error when booking as wasn't one.
When home looked at my booking and it specifically states a free standing bath. So paid for a room I did not get.
Cleanliness wasn't great, where mattress was too small for bed frame thick dust on slats. And later if dust on kettle
As a location for the Waterside theatre it was perfect
We stayed he last week before I was closing for renovation
However the room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and very quirky (in a good way) it was quite the room
Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful
Breakfast was nice as was an evening meal that we also had there.
