the front area was different altogether, nicely kept.
The outside area which was supposed to be our outside area was very unkept, dirty chairs, not somewhere you could enjoy. Food nice.
Excellent food and staff are amazing
Nothing
Worked out the shower. Yippee! Staff superb (shout out to Marie particularly) snd breakfast delicious.
People having a row/party in the carpark at 0323 for over an hour!
Friendly, clean, comfortable. Staff very personable especially Kyle. Stayed during heatwave and extra fans provided.
Breakfast was good.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Car park can be full, but road parking overnight is available.
Breakfast was good - enough variety
Lack of yoghurt and fruit as advertised on the menu which was a little disappointing
There is a smell of oil / fry up that is evident as soon as you exit your room. Not sure if the extractor wasn't fully functional?
The pub only opened at 17h00 which was a little frustrating - couldn't even get a cuppa
Just meant we visited competitor pubs
Staff very friendly and willing to help with anything required.
Bar very small and may take a little time to be served however very apologetic.
We stayed in the outside block it was cosy felt like a little cottage .
The bed was comfy
Very noisy, laminate flooring does not dampen the constant door banging, toilets flushing and people moving around. Echoing and not relaxing at all.
Very bright lights make the rooms not homely or comfortable and quite small.
The rooms are not in the main building which is kept locked, welcoming staff were not welcoming, polite or helpful.
It was central and free parking. Stayed here about 2 years ago and it was so comfortable and friendly decided to stay here again this year.
Disappointed that we had to walk outside to go to the restaurant or bar. Not clear on the website that this was the case. It sounded like our room and access as in previous years was in the hotel and access to restaurant and bar was the stairs from the bedrooms inside the hotel.
The property was situated right in the town but was still tranquil. There are parking facilities in the hotel grounds . The room was lovely with all that you could want . There was also a fan which is very important at the moment . There is a restaurant and a bar and breakfast included in the price . The owner is very hospital
I was lucky as I only had one flight of stairs to climb but in keeping with the character of the hotel some of the rooms are up a windy staircase
Breakfast was fine
The room was tiny and the stairs difficult to negotiate - getting into the shower was very tight no good for a big person
The hallway floor was disgusting and the stair carpet filthy.
Large comfortable room and equipped with a fan which was very much appreciated during the first summer heatwave. Good breakfast and ample parking at the back of the hotel. Close to local amenities and the friendly owner was a pleasure to chat to.
Really happy with the level of service and pricing for room / food.
