Pros:

We booked here for a couple of days of relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of marrakesh. We spent most of our time around the pool which was heated (much needed in April). We had a lovely comfortable villa and private garden. We had some lovely meals in the restaurant which helpfully had a kids menu - 2 courses for 100 MAD. Breakfast was great!

Cons:

They were doing some serious renovation while we were there which meant that there were builders all over the place and the big pool and tennis courts weren't available but there was still petanque and table tennis for the kids. It will be so beautiful once done! I didn't like that people were smoking around the pool - the first day we had to keep moving, between that and the smell of the paint (as the builders were painting the main building). It's way out from Marrakesh, but we knew that. Shame no savoury food available between lunch (which finishes at 3/3.30) and dinner (which starts at 7.30).

Notre séjour à la Villa Katia a été une véritable parenthèse de détente. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le calme qui règne dans l’établissement.
La cuisine y est tout simplement superbe, avec des plats savoureux et soigneusement préparés

La piscine chauffée est un véritable atout, les chambres sont fonctionnelles, confortables et bien aménagées. Le personnel est d’une grande gentillesse, toujours accueillant et attentionné, ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus agréable.

Une très belle adresse que je recommande sans hésitation.

Séjour parfait, dans un cadre magnifique. Mention spécial au personnel qui est adorable, attentionné et disponible.

Cons:

Je suis allée en février… donc préparation de la belle saison, le moment où les ouvriers refont les peintures, taillent les arbres et font les petites réparations nécessaires… rien de grave mais parfois un peu de bruit.
Sur le site il était indiqué qu’il y avait un terrain de padel mais… il n’était pas encore fini donc c’est dommage de déjà l’avoir indiqué sur le site.

Une pause authentique à Marrakech
Pros:

Hôtel magnifique, chargé d'histoire, au calme après des journées dans la médina. La communication était facile et agréable. Le personnel est au petit soin et le restaurant sur place est vraiment exquis grâce au talent du chef, avec des prix abordables. La piscine chauffée est un vrai plus, et avec la deuxième en construction à côté, on ne manquera vraiment de rien. Mention spéciale a Abdoulaye et Bader qui sont deux serveurs incroyablement gentil.
Le SPA sur place est un vrai plus, et les praticiennes sont brillantes ! Merci à Diane pour son accueil et ses conseils.

Cons:

Les finitions dans les chambres peuvent être améliorées. Les matelas n'étaient pas au niveau, ils s'affaissaient. La connexion wifi pourrait être améliorée dans les chambres.

The local stuff was great. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

Ongoing repair work all over the property – when we arrived, there were works being done on the property (for example, concrete/tar paving on the tennis court just in front of our room), with building materials stored in the villa. The noisy works were starting around 10:00 AM and continued past 20:00 PM, with the workers just in front of our room, which had a crystal entrance door.

One swimming pool is drained (no water in it), and another one was closed throughout the stay (2 days out of 3). In general, per policy, the swimming pool is closed at 19:00 PM every day.

The Wi-Fi signal is weak and unstable in some rooms (the same applies to cell phone coverage). We were suggested to switch rooms, but the Wi-Fi router was not installed there, and the repair work could still be heard.

We had to switch hotels and ask for a refund for the rest of our stay. We were misinformed that we needed to request the refund from Booking — Booking has confirmed that the property should refund it first. We still did not receive the refund or any compensation, which is frustrating since we had to switch hotels mid-stay.

Pros:

Diane est très serviable et de bons conseils. Hâte de voir l’établissement avec la nouvelle piscine et le padel. Petit déjeuner excellent. Espace détente très sympa autour de la piscine.

Des travaux durant notre séjour mais pas forcément dérangeant.
