We loved this place! The view of the ocean from the rooms, the restaurant, and both pools was stunning. Rooms were very comfortable with great AC. And the beach felt like a private beach -- half of the time we were the only ones there! We also liked the location. It's a little bit of a trek to the Zona Romantica on foot, but a quick taxi ride. And it was nice to be in a little bit of a quieter part of town. We would absolute stay again!
There were a few maintenance issues. Of course, it would have been more convenient to not have those problems, but the staff was very responsive and fixed them quickly!

AC was fabulous! Thank goodness, bc it was HOT. 15 minute walk on the beach (w some rocky sections) to downtown. Very beautiful views, welcome drink, pools, umbrella/chairs provided but note that ocean access directly out front is unfortunately difficult.
Coffee in room was appreciated as was frig & I was so grateful for the ice tray! Drinking water available no charge. Delicious breakfast, although overpriced when not included in room.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Quinta Maria Cortez is a beautiful boutique hotel with a stunning oceanfront location and amazing views. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the property has a peaceful, authentic Mexican charm. I loved being able to hear the waves from my room and relax by the beach. The location is convenient, with great restaurants nearby, including Coco’s Kitchen for breakfast.
The breakfast could be improved with more variety and buffet-style options. The refried beans and bacon were average, and there were limited choices. I also ordered a fish dish wrapped in a corn leaf that was tasty but overcooked and stuck to the leaf, and the portion was very small. For meals, I would recommend exploring nearby restaurants rather than relying on the hotel restaurant.
