Beautiful, well taken care of rooms! We had such a beautiful and relaxed experience...! The grounds are really nice and we enjoyed having a bbq there! The view of the Hunter mountain right out our window was spectacular! Definitely reccomend this place... we cant wait to come again!!
Lage und der Ofen im Zimmer
Überall Insekten im Zimmer und stinkende Handtücher
The mountain view from the window was excellent. Although it gives a 'rustic' impression, many items were thoughtfully provided for a comfortable stay. The game room was an additional bonus! The location seems convenient, if you stay in the winter for skiing.
We could get the access code for the room by a phone call when we got there, but we didn't see any staff at all for the entire stay. We wished that the contact detail by E mail was sent sooner before we already left home. The town of Hunter is very small, and places we can eat, especially breakfast is very limited, although the next town, Tannersville is not far for more options. I recommend to research in advance, especially for opening hours of these restaurants.
Checkin was effortless - I parked in front of the correct room and let myself in with a code. I didn't have to find or speak with anyone, which I loved because it was dark and rainy and I was extremely tired from a long day.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the towels were extremely fluffy.
the only thing is that the TV did not work but other than that it was wonderful.
Clean & Comfortable
The location was fine for our personal business.
PROs: The room was very clean and fairly quiet. It looks like fairly new construction from the appearance of the wood inside and the slight “fresh wood smell“ which is very pleasant. It was easily accessible up just a couple of steps to a deck entrance (versus the other rooms which were exactly at walk-in street level.) We had the king room which had a separate kitchen area. The kitchen was pretty big and had a coffee maker, microwave, hot water maker, stove. You can prepare meals easily (although it could use a few more utensils and dishes though.)
Down the road were two restaurants(a bar and a Chinese restaurant) and a bagel & bakery shop that was absolutely outstanding! We had a great breakfast there every morning. There is a gigantic refrigerator in the kitchen. (Perhaps even a little too big, but maybe that's for storing moose and deer during hunting season?)
The bed was a nice size actual "king bed" (many places give you a queen size and call it king size) a bit soft for my liking, but comfortable. The shower attachment was so modern it looked like it was out of a Star Trek officer's quarters - very intimidating at first, but easy to use and gave an excellent shower.
I would stay here again though, based on the cleanliness.
CONS: Cheap towels, very thin, and synthetic material! Need to replace the towels with better ones. The kitchen "table" was just two tiny foldup camping tables that were unstable. Couldn't really use them for any work. There was plenty of room for a bigger, better table. There are no dressing/makeup mirrors, just a tiny portable round face mirror, which was not useful for makeup or getting dressed. That's a big inconvenience for the ladies in particular. There was an excellent space to put a full length mirror for makeup/dressing that was bare. There was very dim lighting so you can't really read after dark.
You have to ask for clean towels and room cleaning.
The pressure of the water in the shower.
Extremely poor quality of towels and bed linen, no fesh /clean, seem reused from previous guests.
Room nr.5 - In the morning, great noise on the back side of the room, so big as if someone was already in our room.
Won't stay here again ever..
