Pros:

Turned up in Dharamshala, get to hotel, has not existed for 2 years. Clearly been sold and rebranded. Yet somehow Hotels.com managed to book us a room. Absolutely unbelievable.

$25 Onecash credit compensation for 3 rooms, 3 adults had to rebook somewhere else at walk up rates and this is what Hotels.com thought was appropriate compensation.

Comical incompetence.

Pros:

The hotel did not switch on generator for about 3 to 4 hours at night when regular electric supply was disrupted. On complaining ,the staff said that as customers did not request for generator supply, they did not switch it on. Their position was that now since you asked for it, we shall switch the generator on whereas it should have been a matter of routine in the event of power disruption.
Secondly, regardless of discomfort & disturbance to guests, continous hammering was resorted to at night from 2230 hours onwards for about an hour or so. It is not understood why construction work has to be done at that time.
Thirdly, the hotel should employ a trained South Indian cuisine cook--- the breakfast served of dosa , tomato & coconut chutneys & sambar was pathetic & totally substandard.
