Great place to stay ... but the bowling alley is an issue.
Pros:

Let me start by saying that the room and staff were excellent. All interactions with the staff were great and they were always helpful.
The room was large and had nice kitchen facilities and was spotlessly clean when we arrived.
The location is good and is a easy walk into the middle of Indy , there are some roadworks and development taking place right outside the hotel but these did not effect us in anyway.
The building is great and you almost feel as if you are stepping back in time with the decor and the way lots of the buildings original features have been preserved.
The is a rooftop bar which is great and the fourth floor has a 'Duck Pin' bowling alley from circa 1920's which is amazing to look at and play.

Cons:

Unfortunately the bowling alley is what was the big let down from a staying prospective as the rooms are on the third floor directly below the bowling floor and the noise from the bowling can be both loud and constant at times. This should have been emphasized more in the details of the property as on a few night we were there it went on beyond 11pm and made rest very difficult. We were visiting a convention in Indy so we had to be up early each morning but early nights were impossible. They are looking to get enhanced sound proofing put in to assist in the area and if this is done I would recommend this place as a great base for Indy. I have had to score a low mark on comfort but if this work is done then I would rate this property highly.

Relaxed and enjoyable visit!
Pros:

Very cool historic building, with nicely updated rooms blending nostalgia with comfortable modern touches.

Cons:

Difficult to get to because of road construction, but that will be temporary. Not the hotel’s fault.

If it weren’t for the current construction, this was a great location within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, breweries, and things to do. The room was comfortable and clean.

Cons:

This wasn’t an issue because we were out late at a concert both nights, but it’s important to note that the rooms are directly beneath a duckpin bowling alley. It is quite audible during the day and evening, so just something to be aware of depending on your sleep plans.

Good place to stay for fountain square night
Pros:

Really retro vibe. And staff was helpful and communicative. But being close to the bowling alley was great. Would recommend to anyone

Cons:

Not their fault but construction in the area made it difficult to find a place to park. They gave instructions but if you arent familiar with the area its still hard to understand

Mildly concerned turns into pleasantly surprised
Pros:

Was curious when I had to retrieve my room key from the attendant at the bowling alley, once I got in the building, my worries were gone. The building is amazing, the rooms exceeded expectations, staff was the best, location couldn’t be beat. I don’t have enough good this to say about this place.

Cons:

If you are staying for the weekend especially, this place does have a mini bowling alley above it, so there is some noise in the afternoon evening time. This may have just been my room, but afternoon naps were not a thing.
