Nice & Cosy!
Pros:

Room was super clean, friendly staff and accommodating. Location is also close to all restaurants and attractions in San Marcos. 12 minutes to Texas State University.

Very relaxing
Pros:

The stay was really comfortable and relaxing. Perfect spot for a little getaway. The staff was really nice and welcoming as well.

Mooie cabin smaakvol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Super vriendelijk en attent personeel. Alles netjes en schoon.

Cons:

Bed aan de kleine kant en geen verduisterende gordijnen in de slaapkamer. wellicht handig om een bezem neer te zetten.

Amazing pool and river access!
Pros:

Our third year at this property and we love it. The staff is so nice and helpful, full service bar, great and cute areas. Lots to do. Great river access! Rooms are so nice and perfect for couples! The pool is an amazing spot to hang out all day.

Pros:

The peacefulness, the privacy, the nature, and the overall vibe/decor were all wonderful. Cute pool with a great bar and bartender!

Cons:

Just wish it was a bit cheaper….but that goes for everything right now

Mysig och otroligt fin campingstuga.
Pros:

Väldigt fin stuga och poolområde. Mysigt på området och huset där lobbyn var. Väldig go och serviceinriktad personal.

Cons:

Det framgick inte på booking att det var en liten camping, inte ett hotell. Omgivningarna runt ”hotellområdet” var inte som på bilderna alls, det gick absolut inte bada i floden. Dessutom låg området granne med ett lite skumt område vilket var lite läskigt på natten.

I highly recommend staying at Melrose!
Pros:

My experience at Melrose saved a recent trip my husband and I took to Texas. It was supposed to be a warm getaway...until an ice storm hit! The staff at Melrose were exceptional, checking in on us and making sure we were ok. Every single person I interacted with there was a pleasure to talk with. Additionally, the room was nice and snug for 2 people to share. The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor shower was a bonus (though only my husband got to use it prior to storm prep). The location was really conveniently located to get around the area. We will be looking to come back in the spring/summer to take full advantage of this property and what San Marcos has to offer.

Cons:

Just an fyi, the bathroom door in the casitas is a sliding barn door. Ours kept sliding open due to being not quite level. Not a problem for us though as we just used a shoe to keep it from opening.
