The Wyman Hotel

We love visiting Silverton and largely because we have an EV we choose to stay at Wyman for the charging that is available there. The fall color change this year was perfectly aligned with our visit and we’ll not forget what we saw on the daily treks we made towards Ouray. The only input I have is that in general it is best to put EV chargers in parking spots which are relatively undesirable. Of the 4 chargers at the hotel 2 are in prime spots right in front of the hotel so more often than not they are unavailable not because they are being used but because an ICE is parked there. It was never problematical for us but on a busy weekend we’d probably be inclined to take our ICE and eliminate the possibility of not having enough charge for the days adventures due to unavailability of chargers.

There was an accident (2 people died on Million Dollar Highway) that blocked us from getting there directly so we had to add another 3 hour drive to our already long day. I asked if we could move the reservation out a day and was told NO. We made the drive and got there later than desired. The hotel was ok which isn't great for the price. The lack of flexibility was also disappointing. Why would you ever not have a lamp next to the bed. After reading in bed I had to get up to turn the lights off. Also, the room was hot. May be nice 90% of the year but I'd never stay there again during hot weather like this week.

The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. But the room was not comfortable. No TV, no microwave, no coffee maker, no elevator, no chairs, bad lighting.

We had a great stay at the Wyman hotel! The lady at the check in was so sweet and helpful. Our room was so comfortable and what a fantastic location!! Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Quant historic hotel updated to modern standards. Very nice!

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms nice and clean, beds comfy. Has a bar in lobby that you can also get morning coffee. Local to anything you would want to do. One of the best if not the best hotel in Silverton, a small but quaint and friendly town!

Great location. Staff is great. Silverton is walkable and we walked to the hotel from the train station.

Loved this hotel! Staff was super friendly. Lots of little modern decorating touches. Perfect for kids with the 3 twin beds in addition to the big king bed. Would absolutely book another stay here!

This is definitely where you want to stay if you are in Silverton!

This was a cute place in a neat old building. Unfortunately it was a little too lively for us. I'm sure it didn't help that our room was directly above the bar area. There was a white noise machine in the room, which was much appreciated and helped some with the noise. There was no sink in the bathroom. We had to come out to wash our hands at the sink in the kitchenette area. If we had to stay again, I would call the hotel directly to be sure we got a different room, further from the bar and with a better bathroom set up. The staff was friendly and we did meet a cat in the lobby, which was a plus!

Close to many restaurants in Silverton and it’s really clean. Note that there’s no AC, but we visited in the fall so that was not an issue.

Love how this historical hotel is restored in a mid-century boutique style!

I would stay here again in a heartbeat!! The hotel has recently been updated with very nice decorations and furniture. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Bedding and the room was nice but mattress was a little tired. Bathroom could use a makeup mirror and a shower gel would have been nice to use rather than the little white soap for bathing.
