We came here for Christmas vacation to enjoy some alone time together without having to worry about family. Almost everything was wonderful. All the staff we interacted with were kind and helpful from the front desk help to the bartender. However, our biggest gripe was that part of our overnight amenities included unlimited robe and towel exchange. We requested for a change twice; once in the morning and second in the afternoon. We waited half an hour in the morning which was fine; it was probably due to people checking out, inventory check, etc. However, the second time, we waited 4 hours. We called the front desk, went into the bathhouse, and returned to the front desk. We finally got the robes and towels changed out. As much as we love everything else and want to come back again, we felt like the towel and robe exchange is keeping us from doing another overnight stay since it was an amenity we were not able to easily access despite its inclusion. But we love it so much that we are also considering getting our own bath robes and bringing it to not deal with the exchange. Hence, the 3-star rating.
Hubby and I went here for our 4 year anniversary. This time we reserved one of the hillside soaking suites and it did not disappoint. Spent basically the whole entire day in the tub. The staff on site is lovely and very attentive to our needs. Plan to make this a yearly tradition. Thank you for such a beautiful stay!
Ahnee is a great waitress and very friendly. I was in the resort business, so I know. She is always kind, helpful and full of joy!
When you’re paying over $600+ a night, there are certain standards you expect. Unfortunately, our experience at Murrieta Hot Springs fell short. All of the little things added up -- to name a few: Hotel guests should not have to pay for lockers, and a 10 a.m. checkout—especially one that can’t be extended—feels unnecessarily rigid for a property positioned as a higher-end experience. The universal hotel check-out time is typically between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (noon).
After some initial miscommunication pre-arrival and delayed responses from the hotel management team, the front desk manager assured us that our resort fee would be waived as a courtesy. Despite this, we were still charged, and he later went back on his word. I even have two witnesses who heard him confirm the waiver. There’s nothing more frustrating than being made to feel like you imagined a conversation you clearly had.
This is the hospitality industry, and the goal should be to make guests feel valued—especially at this price point. For a resort seeking positive word-of-mouth and returning customers, this experience was deeply disappointing.
We paid for Day Pass and purchased a cabana. The staff were friendly and helpful. Sydnie D , our server was great ! She is very attentive and helpful. Always checking for our needs. Love her warm smile and pleasant personality. Although food service was prompt the food was not that good. Also, pls provide good lighting in your restroom. Too dim, can’t hardly see .. unsafe and high risk for fall/injuries .
I often travel for work and stay in hotels regularly, so when I plan a vacation for myself, I want to ensure the place I choose is not just great, but truly exemplary in every aspect. That is exactly the ethos at Murrieta Hot Springs Spa and Resort. This new resort (open since February 2024) never ceases to amaze me with its ability to transport me somewhere ethereal, calming, and refreshingly unique.
For my second stay at the resort, I was celebrating my birthday, and at every turn the teams across the property made me feel cared for and celebrated. After a delayed flight, I arrived just after midnight and was warmly checked in by Mr. Bill, who cheerfully explained all amenities and offered luggage assistance to my room.
Throughout my stay, I had the pleasure of interacting with Ana, Luna, and Yulie in housekeeping. They went above and beyond to ensure my room was perfectly stocked and provided timely refresh service. When I unexpectedly needed an extra blanket for a late-night soak, Marcos was a kind and friendly voice of assistance.
The front desk team kept a smile on my face all week—from the birthday amenities provided by Jay, Justin, and Abel, to the consistent check-ins from Tyler, Molly, and Consuela throughout my stay.
Two days in a row, I enjoyed an excellent lunch at Cafe Azuli. My favorites were the grilled chicken club, the loaded fries, and the Caesar salad (I always add their Mahi Mahi!). Angelica and Darla in F&B helped my guests and me choose the perfect meals, drinks, and plans for our time on the resort. They were kind, funny, and wonderfully attentive.
This resort spans 46 acres and features over 40 hot springs tubs, and I make it my mission on each visit to try as many as possible. During this stay, I had a stunning sunrise soak at Sunset Social—watching the resort come to life was the perfect start to my day.
If you are ever in Southern California or the Temecula area, visit Murrieta Hot Springs Spa and Resort. You will not regret it; more likely, you’ll find yourself wanting to return frequently. The luxury amenities, world-class on-site spa, delicious dining options, and top-tier service make this resort absolutely worthy of your time.
Massage by Charlene was very professional, relaxing, rejuvenating. I thoroughly enjoyed the the back scrub and details.
We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday here, and our experience was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, Abel, Autumn, and Samantha at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Kristjian and Carmen were incredibly attentive and made communication seamless throughout our entire visit, everything was effortless thanks to them! We also enjoyed incredible massages at the spa. Elise and Antonio were so accommodating when we needed to reschedule, and the massages themselves were the best we’ve ever had! Cherlyn and Edward were outstanding as well; we highly recommend them to anyone planning to book a service. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable! We can’t wait to come back.
Hannah was such a great bartender!!
She made her trip so much better.
We haven’t been able to check into our room yet, but the pools are amazing. The best part of our trip has been Hannah!
My wife and I stayed at Murrieta Hot Springs for our honeymoon, hoping for a peaceful, restorative getaway. Unfortunately, our experience was completely overshadowed by a major issue that management refused to address.
The soaking tubs, supposedly the highlight of the resort, are clearly advertised as smoke-free zones. However, during our entire stay, we were surrounded by people smoking cigarettes in and around the tubs. This wasn’t an isolated incident, it happened every single time we tried to soak, no matter the time of day.
My wife is sensitive to smoke and gets severe migraines from cigarette exposure, so what should have been a relaxing escape turned into a stressful and physically uncomfortable situation.
What made the situation worse was how it was handled. Security simply drove by quickly in a golf cart and never stopped to enforce the no-smoking rule. When I brought the issue up to the front desk and politely requested a partial refund due to the ruined experience, the manager was dismissive, uninterested, and unwilling to help. He wouldn’t even make eye contact while I explained the situation and offered no solution whatsoever.
For a place that promotes itself as a wellness destination focused on healing and relaxation, the lack of care for guest comfort and well-being was shocking. Unless you don’t mind being surrounded by cigarette smoke or ignored by management, I would urge you to think twice before booking here.
I’ll say first that the resort is gorgeous. But I think the downsides outweigh the beauty of the property. I would definitely come back for a day pass but I don’t think it’s worth it to stay overnight. They charge a high price for the rooms and so there’s a certain level of expectation - which they don’t meet. My room was just fine - the shower is tiny and the AC is old and loud. The customer service is lacking. My room key stopped working and so I had to go to the front desk and they thought I was checking out that day, even though when I checked in, they confirmed my 2-night stay. The food is a little lackluster - I tried a cocktail and barbacoa nachos. The drink was terrible and the bartender was more interested in talking to his coworkers than tending to me. The nachos were good but way overpriced. I ordered the rest of my meals from restaurants off the property, which should tell you something. I also got a spa service here and that was good. Overpriced, but good. Overall, I can see they put a TON of money into renovating this place and it looks beautiful. But the service, food, and rooms don’t reflect the level of quality you should get when paying the prices they charge.
I absolutely love this Hot Springs Resort and would recommend it as a great getaway option for any family looking to reset, rejuvenate and reconnect. Their facilities and grounds are of course beautiful and offer a sort of Oasis in the heart of Murrieta. However, the care and the passion that the staff has for their guests and their relaxation is NEXT level! It was my Grandparent's very first time stepping foot onto the resort that I've come to love and the staff, gosh, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and meaningful! I wanted to be sure to thank some of the wonderful staff members who helped to make our family vacation so spectacular.
Jay from their guest services team was able to assist in the delivery of a beautiful amenity to our room that even came with an option to write a personalized note! She must have been on it because when we arrived to do our check-in earlier in the day and not only was the room ready but the amenity too had been delivered! This was such a joy to hear. Krisjian was the guest service attendant that assisted with our check-in. He was extremely informative and made sure my family and I felt welcomed! We couldn't have had a better check-in experience. Plus, there was no line so he was able to take his time with really showing us around the resort using the map.
Since it was relatively still early in the day I popped into their coffee shop, Brew 1902, and first off was amazed by the way the space had transformed; which once felt industrial, now feels more homey. The adding of the historic photographs on the wall was such a great touch! I ended up grabbing a matcha because it is my absolute favorite anywhere! Jonnah, who introduced himself as the coffee shop manager, was very kind and even offered to make my drink for me which was appreciated considering he seemed as if he had been working on a few things before I walked in.
Once getting out to the resort we were pretty hungry so we dropped into their poolside dining option, Cafe Azuli, where we ordered a few entrees to share amongst the family before our 3PM wellness activity. We took a few suggestions from Aiden, and we couldn't have been happier! The Loaded Fries were an absolute hit for our family! So much so we ordered round two of them the next day!
We stuffed our faces with fries, nachos and their delicious avocado toast and headed to their wellness studio where we were hosted by Wellness Instructor, Em, who's impressive sound bowl technique really helped to relax and reset our energy for the trip. Her voice was very soothing and her instructions were clear and easy to follow! My Grandma even ended up falling asleep toward the end once she was able to fully relax. This was funny and we all got a laugh out of it. The Restful Recharge class is a must to experience! Jay, again, was able to assist us in securing our spots a few weeks in advance which was much appreciated!
Later that evening as my family was preparing for bed we called down to the front desk and requested that the pull out couch linens be brought up to our room. Sam was pleasant over the phone and seemed to be really eager to make sure to account for all the needs of our family that night. Shortly after calling, gentlemen Adam and Allen brought us the lien and the extra roll away bed we needed for us all to sleep soundly! And that we did!
The next morning I went down to the lobby to request for a later check out and was accommodated by a Supervisor named Tyler. He was great! Very positive and uplifting which really made for a great start to my day! He was also kind enough to assist in going over my stay details which I needed clarity on.
Since my family was still sleeping, as it was close to 10AM, I made my way over to their gift shop in the Bathhouse. I was greeted by wonderful staff members, Emily, who assisted with the pre check-in for our cabana and Andrew who later helped me to check-out with a few trinkets that had caught my attention the day before as we were passing through. All of them seem excited to talk about the merchandise and offerings of the resort. Friendly vibes overall!
Once, moving out of our room we made our way out to our cabana which we had reserved for the entirety of the day until 5PM. Making the choice to book a cabana for our day of departure was probably the best decision we made our whole trip. It offered a space specifically for us to hang out while on the resort for the day. Not to mention that Yesenia was absolutely phenomenal. Her charisma and serving skills were top of the line! Whenever we needed something or wanted to place another order she always seemed to be walking up to assist us! We couldn't have felt more taken care of! Personal thank you to her and her hard work!
My family ended up running into a few other amazing staff members that just made for a banger of a last day including, Wellness Instructor, Lauren who we were so grateful to, for leading us through their challenging guided cold plunge experience. To Jenna who helped to clarify the wonderful benefits of the clay at the Clay Cove. I learned you can actually put it in your hair! I had no idea. It left our skin and hair feeling renewed and nourished. And to Andrew with security! As my family and I were getting back to our car he spotted us and asked us how our stay went. Surprised by his curiosity, we spilled some of our wonderful stories from our trip and he even offered to give us a quick tour of the property on his golf cart which was such a joy! It felt a little bit like a Disneyland ride! I haven't heard my family laugh like that in a while!
Leaving the resort was so bittersweet! I know we all felt so refreshed and ready to get back to our lives but a little part of us wished we could stay on the resort FOREVER! The staff on the property made our little getaway such a pinnacle memory for my family and I can't thank them enough. If you are looking for a place to reconnect with your family and simply relax I can't suggest this Hot Springs Resort enough!! Thank you Murrieta Hot Springs Resort! We will definitely be back!
Beautiful place. I love the fact we can stay there overnight and get to enjoy the next day
Great time and service was excellent. Ahnee was great and super helpful. Very relaxing 2 days at the resort. I had wanted to go since it is so close to home glad we finally made it.
Ahnee and Fabian (housekeeping) made sure we were taken care of and we were comfy during our visit!
We needed cushions and were helped by them with no questions asked. We love them and their service to us!
I was gifted an overnight stay for my birthday. My friend and I arrived early to use the facilities before check in. We arrived around 10:30 on a Tuesday and went to drop off our luggage until check in. We were pleasantly surprised when the front desk staff told us they upgraded our room and let us check in right away! This was very accommodating of them and nice to have early access to our upgraded room.
I also received a massage by Ana at the spa. She made me feel very comfortable and was accommodating to my health concerns. Pressure was great and she would check in with me throughout the service to make sure I was ok. I highly recommend taking the restorative yoga class especially before or after a spa service. We were so zen by the end of the night.
10/10 would return, the facility was so big we didn’t get a chance to check out everything.
Thermal pool and cold plunge is nice.
Overall 4 rating because I was not given a lake front /hot spring facing room despite of notifying the resort ahead of time and even after confirmation from resort representative on same day.
