A home away from home it was from Dec23 to Dec 26'2025 ...and just
a few steps to the ghats dotting the sacred banks of the holy Mother Ganga. .. the Magnificent Kedar Temple or even to the waiting boat that will bridge you to the famous temples. In Varanasi !. It is always what happens around the purpose of yourself
visit that makes a journey ever so memorable !Hotel staff was ever so co-operative . . They suggested boatman Babu who took us by ferry,( private) to the Mahadev temple .. Babu helped us reach it ..arranged lockers and a Brahmin to help us inside and waited till we returned . Small concern makes a stay ever so blissful!. I was at Varanasi for a Bharatanatyam performance at the Shankaracharya Ghat and the Ashram of His holiness Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati who is a prominent spiritual leader associated with Varanasi. It was heaven going to the waiting venue and returning to the Hotel ever so easily !
The proximity of the Ashram and every other place .. especially waking up to breathe in the Sacred river Ganga in the early serene mornings was a soulful experience. In the heaven that is Varanasi resonating with temple bells and 'Har Har Mahadev' you do not seek material flashiness .. What you seek is a caressing spirituality complimenting the holy city that has you awaken to the fact that no permanence can ever happen on the shifting sands of life ..
The cosy terrace with tables arranged neatly and smiling hands serving hot parathas and tea .. The Manager and reception staff were pleasant and concerned about every aspect .Need one ask for more when shrouded in a reaching holiness .
A visit to Varanasi is not a pleasure cruise but an experience of realisation .. of birth and death, of hope and wounds transforming to a challenge one learns from and ofcourse - a Karma one walks with

La ubicación es perfecta, esta justo al lado de uno de los ghats, y a menos de 5 minutos andando de un crematorio. Nos guardaron las maletas todo el día de salida, ya que el check out era a las 11am y nuestro tren a las 7pm.
La habitación estaba bastante vieja. Esta en un callejón donde hay ambiente toda la noche, por lo que hay mucho ruido. No oueden llegar los tuk tuks, hay que llegar al hotel andando. No había desayuno, solo carta con platos más de comida o cena. No se puede pagar con tarjeta y nos cobraron más por la reserva. La limpieza es mejorable.

Compared to the environment what is one of the worst I have ever seen, even for India, the hotel was a pleasant surprise. But nothing special. If you want to be near the ghats in the middle of the disgusting slums of Varanasi, this hotel is a good choice.
The sheets and towels were not spotless. It was cold in the room without the option to warm it up and it didn't have window. But it was still better than taking one with windows as the street noise is just crazy. Our room was not far from the reception where the receptionist started to listen music loudly before 6AM! Some staff randomly entered into our room in the night when we were in the bed already without knocking because it was not possible to close the room properly from inside. There was very loud noise on the street, especially during to day if one tried to nap - but this is to be expected given the location. Also, the noises were also generally caused by fun activities one could participate in, wedding processions etc...
One annoying point was that the hotel cancelled our reservation, even though we twice confirmed it. This didn't present a problem for us, as they just gave us the same room at the same price, but perhaps if we had gotten to the hotel later in the day (we got there around 2 pm) the room may have been given away. So this is potentially a big problem.
Hotel is right opposite to Chowki Ghaat. You could take a stroll in the early morning or late evenings to the Ghaats.
Roads leading to the property are very narrow. So after a point you cannot expect auto to drop you to the hotel. There is some amount of walking required. In case you are carrying more luggage, then it becomes difficult. You can call up the hotel. Staff would assist you to carry them.
However, roads are not very clean, so the trolley bags would become dirty !!
Good shower, fairly clean reception area. Helpful to a degree.
The dirty sheets was left on the bed and was remade with the same douvet cover from the previous customer. I had to ask many times for it to be changed before they did. I prepaid for the room as to not be delayed for my flight, but was still delayed the next morning by 30mins. Thankfully I just caught my flight.

We booked a room which was mentioned as suite, but there was nothing like it, no table , no chairs , no foot mat near bathroom & balcony, no cleanliness , room un coloured , cockroaches in room, wardrobe door damaged, no slippers,
As mentioned during booking river view it's only little, balcony is common for two rooms & so small that we cannot even keep a chair
This place is really clean. And the staff is helpful. They showed me where to change money and gave me useful tips about Varanasi.
My room was at the ground floor, and it was noisy.
