Eastern Sierra Motor Lodge

Breakfast was a tray of snacks, granola bars and instant coffee bags, and no kitchen prepared meals. No typical morning buffet, as found in typical chain motels. Primitive facility, but with all the necessary amenity was provided.

Appreciated the complimentary snacks. There’s no restaurant or store in the area unless you go to the Shell station which I did for dinner.

Amenities, cleanliness of the room and bathroom, responsiveness of the host, WiFi, view from the Lodge, connectivity, ease of checking in / check out.

This is, without exaggeration, the best hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. When we got stuck in Yosemite because the road was closed, we had to look for another place last minute. Since I had booked a non-refundable option, I honestly didn’t expect to get my money back or be able to change the dates without extra charges. But the team went above and beyond — and my friends and I couldn’t be more grateful.

The view from the terrace was incredible, the room was clean and spacious, and the staff truly did everything they could to help us.

I only regret that we were so stressed and busy that we didn’t even take a single photo. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be in that area again, but I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone passing through.

We got to the lodge much later than expected, check in was no loger available . We called the phone number and someone quickly answered and helped us get in.
The room was minimalistic but felt cozy.
The location was exactly what we needed for a quick overnigh stay on our way to Yosemite.

Excellent accommodation, clean standards and lovely to have a kettle!

Complimentary snacks were plentiful and of good quality.

After I figured out the system for checking in, all was fine. I missed a text but the phone call was answered and solved the problem.

Simple check in with code. Didn't need help but it was a text away. Snacks for morning good. Everything clean. Bathroom shower needed a bit of fixing. Possible noise from highway but we had ac running... they supply ear plugs just in case

Nearly immaculate room had very good lighting, was equipped with microwave and (gurgling) fridge. Also came with a surprising supply of gratis snacks -- and earplugs, which some may find useful for blocking the sound of trucks on 395. Adirondack chairs outside each of the 6 rooms contributed a welcoming touch. Note: this is a remotely operated motel with no staff on site. Also, for the price of a room, guests have a right to expect an ice machine. Shower head was uncomfortably low, while bath towels were of excellent quality. Oddly, hand towels were of only fair quality, and wash rags were so thin they might have come from Motel 6. Instead of snacks, how about bottled water?

A very clean hotel and room. Easy access from road with plenty of parking. We will definitely stay there again. It's great for a base for adventures into the mountains.

Nice curb appeal for a motel with 2 new android chairs, rose bushes and flowering shrubs. Basic bed with basic linens just ok. Room was updated recently just enough to cover the dated establishment A/C worked great, refrigerator had a constant humming noise so we turned it off. Complimentary snacks were very plentiful and appreciated. May we suggest to include 2 bottled water?
Easy reservation and check in with code for room door. No front desk, any problems you must text # to contact. Best value with comfort in the surrounding towns that didn’t look like your grandparents 1980 furniture and bedspread. Many upscale hotels in the area but wanted something reasonable for 1 night passing through. Thank you for your hospitality.

Clean, with everything we needed to begin our weekend hike. It’s not fancy, which is what we like. I love the unlock/lock system of the room and text communication.

Very responsive staff via text and smooth contactless check-in. Room was very clean and ideal for a one-night stay traveling through the area.
