Clean rooms, kind staff, delicious breakfast with large variety of choices.
Awoke around 2am from screaming outside hotel - not hotel's fault though.
The hotel was very original and quite enjoyable. The Staff Vanessa was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Nothing
I found out the hotel was built in 1906 and has a lot of charm. It was clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a mountain view room which did provide very nice views. Walkable downtown location. Free parking at the back of the hotel.
Disappointed to find out after check in that the hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday as well as the bar. Bed mattress for me was a bit stiff for me but my husband slept fine.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful
Parking area was not made clear on website. When we got there, we had no idea where to park.
The hotel was a perfect stay in a slightly off the beaten trail location. The rooms are nicely put together and it had everything you could need. The onsite restaurant was wonderful for dinner. The included breakfast had a little bit of everything - cold and hot options.
The location and ability to walk to multiple shops and restaurants is a plus. Room was comfortable and very clean.
Was only surprised about paying a $10 historical fee.
Very good experience, would stay again.
The location, easy to find, plenty of parking, and the restaurant.
The first morning, came to breakfast...wasn't to impressed with it however on Sunday morning y'all redeemed yourselves with having biscuits and gravy.
Great place with great staff!
Good dinner, but poor breakfast.
love it
nothing
The breakfast offered a lot of choices and it was all outstanding. The location was convenient and easy to find.
NOTHING!
We loved the staff, they were great. The hotel itself was real nice and the breakfast was decent although the coffee was real weak. Nice location as we liked checking out the local shops and restaurants.
First off, the shower doors stayed open. It's an old building and so much of it isn't level that the shower doors just naturally opened to the lowest part of the floor. Second, the shower doors were really flimsy and made of glass and my wife and I each slipped or lost our balance in the shower at separate times and there was no place to grab for support. That scared the heck out of us thinking what might have happened if one of us had fallen through the glass shower door. I told my wife that shower and those doors are a lawsuit waiting to happen. The shower itself was fine but needed a safety grabrail or support rail on the back wall and/or the rear wall. The rail at the front was fine for getting in or out but would do nothing if one of us had fallen.
The other problem we had with the room was a 1/4-inch open gap between the door jam and the wall in our room 605. There was no need for a peep hole because we could see more of what was in the hall through that gap. AND we could hear everything that was going on around us especially noisy hotel patrons in the hallway. There was a party in the lounge downstairs. When we walked through the halls, we could also hear everything that was going on in everyone else's rooms. Thin doors? Walls? Both? We liked the hotel. The shower and the thin walls/doors? was kind of a big deal with us. But we loved how the hotel was decorated, some posted history of the area in the halls, art work. It was nice overall.
The service staff and the awesome restaurant.
