Worth every penny...
Pros:

My husband and I spent 5 days/4 nights here right before Thanksgiving and had a fantastic experience. The rooms, view and food were top of the line, as you would expect, and the best part were the people.

Everyone we interacted with from Jennifer, Kelsey, Bernard to John was engaging, helpful and genuinely interested in ensuring we had the perfect time without feeling overbearing. I won't spoil the details of some of the little things they did for us, but they were numerous and additive to our experience.

A special thank you to John for being a fantastic host, and reintroducing us to Merlot from Sullivan. We will be back.

Wonderful in every imaginable way!
Pros:

Absolutely wonderful place! I cannot say enough nice things about the place and the staff. Pristine, beautiful, gorgeous views, the most attentive and professional team. If you are looking for a 5-stat luxurious and intimate experience, then this place is for you.
I highly recommend visiting their vineyard called Cliff Lede as well.
Looking forward to coming back here. Thank you so much for such a marvelous experience!

The Perfect Getaway...
Pros:

What more can I say...beautiful room overlooking vineyards, extraordinary hospitality and delicious breakfast. They hit it out of the ballpark on all accounts. Josh and PJ went out of their way to make sure you had everything you wanted and beyond. This small, five room hotel was just perfect for our anniversary getaway. Highly recommend. Cliff Lede vineyard and complimentary wine tasting was thoroughly enjoyed. They arranged a private dinner for us on the balcony by Chef Amanda; a perfect way to spend our last evening. Great for couples.

Birthday Get-Away
Pros:

Poetry Inn was highly recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. We’ve been coming to the Napa area for years and I’m not sure how we missed this lovely gem but we are so glad our friend suggested it. If you desire peace, tranquility, comfort, unparalleled views, luxury and personalized service, this is the place! The staff was so very thoughtful and accommodating, from dinner reservations to private wine tastings, we enjoyed everything they lined up for us. Breakfast each morning was divine, three courses of absolute deliciousness! We’ve been coming to the area for many years and Poetry Inn is at the top of our list and new favorite. Can’t wait to return. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday truly memorable and special!

Luxury stay in Napa
Pros:

We stayed in the Robert Frost room with stunning views from our balcony. On our 2nd balcony, we had an outdoor shower and hammock.
Our morning delivery of coffee and pastries were fabulous, which we coined our Breakfast Appetizer. Breakfast made to order delivered to your room or choose to eat in the dining area.
Daniel, Josh, and Gabe planned our entire itinerary and we could not have been happier with their selection of winery visits and dinner reservations
Having stayed in other Napa resorts, this is now at the top of our list for the next visit

Best service ever experienced.
Pros:

I write this as I wait for our late checkout. The Innkeepers here are unparalleled in their kindness. We have had a tough last 24 hours because my husband lost our rental car keys. The Innkeepers have been incredible, from trying to help us find the keys, to picking up our dinner from R&D Kitchen last night for us because we couldn’t drive ourselves. They even let us checkout late without additional charges and have been calm and caring.

The property is unbelievable. The pool is refreshing and clean. The welcome wine and cheese board was a phenomenal start to our stay, and the Emily Dickenson (sp?) is cozy. I’ve now experienced a heated floor, the most thoughtful amenities (body loofa?!?!) and perfect isolation from Covid 19. We are both essential workers (I manage a Covid 19 ICU), he works to support VPN so people can work remote, and we have never felt so relaxed in a short period of time.

We will book to escape here again soon. Do not question thinking about making reservations, life is too short. Do it now. You won’t regret it.

To the team at The Poetry Inn, thank you for every single minute and thank you for restoring us physically and mentally during the toughest time of our lives as working professionals and parents. We deeply appreciate you guys.

Best hotel experience of all time!
Pros:

My wife and I Just spent four incredible days at the end. Daniel Mark Josh and Lisa were fantastic and accommodating hosts. The ee cummings was spacious and beautiful- my wife enjoyed the heated bathroom floors and I started a wood fire every day. The view of the Valley from the Inn Is spectacular. We stayed at some pretty amazing places around the world but Poetry is at the top.

Always a wonderful experience!
Pros:

We have stayed here a few times. Booked the Walt Whitman room both times.
Love the balcony and outdoor shower.
Great location and view of the valley below.

The room and service are always 5 star.

They are expensive, but well worth it for a luxury getaway in Napa.

Have them make dinner reservations in Yountville.

Our Favorite Beautiful Place
Pros:

During our fourth visit, we were once again surrounded by this tranquil oasis of sophisticated but unpretentious service by the four consistent innkeepers who greet us like family. The views are spectacular, the service will spoil you for any other hotel. Breakfasts are seasonal, chosen from a small menu. Each room has a balcony overlooking the valley where hot air balloons can be sighted nearly every morning. This is for couples or singles looking for some time away from their cares. If you want quiet contemplation and conversation, this ranks as a “Relais & Chateau” in our minds.

Refined and luxurious stay!
Pros:

I am a little reluctant to share this beautiful property because I selfishly want to keep the secret to myself. We had a wonderful stay at the Poetry Inn; everything is exemplary; the Inn Manager, Daniel, is attentive and professional as is Marc- they both went out of their way to ensure that we had an amazing stay. Their attention to detail is refreshing; wine, cheese and charcuterie plate on arrival to enjoy while taking in the best view in the Napa Valley! The fresh homemade cookies were fabulous and their breakfast was Michelin Star worthy- so many stellar choices; pear stuffed French Toast, Hash to die for, eggs your way, steel-cut oaks, fresh juices and Bouchon pastries to name just a few. The Poetry Inn consists of only 5 rooms; with a lovely outdoor pool. We stayed in Mr. Walt Whitman’s Room- wow, loved every inch of it. The huge covered, private balcony was the perfect place to enjoy our night cap of Baileys and Bourbon. The Poetry Inn exudes romance; our room had a wood burning fireplace, indoor and outdoor shower and top quality, luxurious bathroom products. I loved our stay- take your forever date and enjoy!

Romance at it's Best!
Pros:

My husband and I went to Poetry Inn again because it is easily the most romantic place to stay in Napa Valley. After a terrible stay in popular 5 star Luxury Hotel, we didn't want to take a chance.
Poetry Inn is intimate, quiet, beautifully appointed with gorgeous views and most importantly, service oriented. They bring back authentic service as it should be. We were pampered and taken care of so well with great care.
After enjoying a lovely dinner out, we opted to have dinner prepared for us and dine in our room. What an experience. I highly recommend doing this. It was so special and so romantic.
Our hosts recommended great things to do and are happy to make any additional arrangements for activities or meals.
Emily Dickinson Suite is hard to beat. It is the smallest, however, we wanted that cozy (it is by no means small at all) intimate feel and to be together in the true sense of the word. IT is still spacious and just stunning.
Wonderful experience. Ironically, it was a friend from Chicago that recommended it to us. Grateful for her!

Perfection
Pros:

You cannot go wrong here. Almost hate letting the secret out, but since we already reserved next year, I will. Before we even arrived, the staff reached out for anything we needed. They actually set up a beautiful dinner on our terrace for us. They also set us up on numerous winery tastings that are hard to get into. They asked many questions of us and learned our palate for wine and set up accordingly. Breakfast was awesome every day, which is included in the price. There were always snacks sitting out at no charge, and at the end of the day, they left out liquor for us as nightcaps.

Romance and Relaxation
Pros:

From the moment you arrive, to the sad moment you leave, you are spoiled at Poetry Inn.
Henrike greeted us at the door, and escorted us to the huge outdoor area with a magnificent view. She poured wine and brought us a cheese plate while taking care of our bags. We, after traveling from Houston, sat there with wine and savored that cool breeze thinking we were in Heaven.

Our room was flawless. Indoor/outdoor shower, wood burning fireplace, beautiful bathroom with heated floors, huge balcony, and the most comfy bed with glorious linens.

Breakfast is a fantastic ritual at Poetry Inn. Coffee and pastries are brought to your room, and you choose two more made to order courses. Few things compare to Poetry’s leisurely breakfast while taking in the valley view.

Cordials are set out at night. Wine is poured all day and evening. The Innkeepers are beautifully attentive and lovely. Marc made fantastic dinner recommendations and reservations, as well as booking our transfers to/from SFO. We absolutely loved Marc, Henrike, and Daniel.

I had a fabulous massage with Lisa. The therapy room is in the downstairs of the Inn, and is chic cozy.

This is definitely the place to go for romance and relaxation!

Fantastic stay
Pros:

We finally found our favorite place to stay in Napa! The views are gorgeous and the rooms are around 1,000 sq ft with extra large bathrooms that also include outdoor showers with stunning views. Everything from lighted make up mirrors, heated floors, extra towels and in-room French press coffee, and so much more. I almost hate to rave too much here as we will never be able to find availability but the staff here is incredible. The chef is so talented and we couldn’t wait to get to breakfast to see what she was going to prepare. Daniel, Henrike and Mark all went out of their way to make us have a phenomenal stay.
What a treat to see everything executed at the highest level. We already booked another trip

Simply fantastic
Pros:

I've been lucky enough to stay at some fabulous hotels around the world and Poetry Inn is up there with the very best. We stayed for 2 nights and I wish our stay had been longer. From the moment you arrive (there is no check in, just a warm welcome) this place ooozes quality. Our hosts Daniel and Henrike were gracious, efficient and very welcoming; absolutely nothing was too much trouble and they anticipated our every need. The rooms match the quality of the staff. Large, luxurious, comfortable and very well appointed. The inside and outside showers were fun; the balcony was large and of course provided those stunning views. The bed was great with fabulous linens and the room had a real log fire for the cooler evenings if you wanted it. Breakfast was lovely and in particular the ricotta and tomato tart was exquisite. I feel that I'm gushing my praise but it really is such a fabulous place to stay. I haven't even touched on the spa treatments which were as good as any I've had....All in all I cannot say enough good things about Poetry Inn. If you get the opportunity please do go. I will certainly be back!!

Incredible
Pros:

We've stayed at some superb hotels in our travels. Poetry Inn is one of the best, if not best place we've ever stayed. It's exactly what we were looking for in our getaway. Luxurious, close to Yountville, gorgeous view of the valley. We were pampered Henrike, Daniel, Lisa, and Marc. Every detail, want and desire was taken care of for us. I can't thank them enough for such a wonderful stay.

Though all the other rooms were booked, it felt like we were there alone. I don't think we saw or heard any other guests during our 4 day stay. Breakfast was excellent. Wish we would have had dinner, but so difficult to choose with all the wonderful restaurants available.

Highly recommend you visit the Lede winery as well. Attentive, personal service, unique classic rock theme with impressive artwork, and great wine.

You will not regret staying here. We can't wait to return!
