The amenities and food were exceptional. The pool was awesome and lives up to the hype. This hotel is genuinely dog-friendly, well-decorated and kept up to a really good standard. I would 100% visit again.
They were very short-staffed over a holiday weekend and need to be more strict on how people use the pool (example- the pool opens at 8am, people were reserving pool seats with towels from early in the morning). There was no coffee in the room and the hotel is on a fairly busy road, so the onsite bakery and restaurant are the only convenient food options. Both were packed when we visited and the wait times were long. That said, the food was excellent when it eventually arrived and the waiters were lovely and apologetic for the wait.
Great facilities
Staff was SUPER unhelpful
It was gorgeous
I had to drive to the slopes
The breakfast menu was good 👍
No hot water pot or kettle nor ready hot drinking water available.
However, receptionist Max was kind enough to provide a flask of hot water from kitchen for me.
We had a great experience staying here with my family. The rooms were clean and in a very cool historical / rustic setting. Really great customer service at the front desk and considerate. Will definitely be coming back when I’m feeling better!
The folks at Wylder Windham are the most helpful, amazing, organized, wonderful (the list goes on and on) team we have ever worked with. From the moment that we toured the venue, to our delicious wedding tasting, to the food and ambiance at the reception, to the accommodation of all the little requests made over the course of the weekend, to the hospitality they showed all of our closest friends and family, to the ease of check in and check out, they made our wedding perfect beyond words!
Every space at the resort is postcard worthy beautiful. They made it so easy to have our weekend of celebration all over the property. They let us keep the party going! The food at Wylder is mouth wateringly delicious. Our guests raved about everything, including the succulent lamb chops at cocktail hour to their famous cauliflower at the reception to our brown butter and espresso wedding cake.
We had the most amazing weekend because everyone involved in the preparations for our wedding went above and beyond at every turn. We are still getting messages from our guests about how magical the weekend was and how it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to (and we think it’s THE best!). We heard all weekend about how amazing the hotel team was and how helpful and kind the team had been.
The team is so easy to work with and helped to bring our vision to life. We are deeply appreciative of everything they have done for us. They addressed all of our questions and all of our requests with poise and professionalism. We could not have asked for a better team to help us plan and celebrate our big day. We can’t wait to visit again soon!
The Wylder Windham is the perfect Catskills escape. The property feels tucked away in its own little world, surrounded by quiet mountains and the prettiest views. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, the heated pool is open year-round, and the wood-fired saunas are such a cozy touch.
There’s so much to do without ever leaving the property—pickleball, fire pits with s’mores, a great on-site bakery, and a delicious restaurant. Everything just feels peaceful, slow, and beautifully intentional. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and reset, this is a must-visit stay.
Just wanted to share that we had an amazing time at Wylder. We explored the property on foot and rode bikes around – Windham is seriously beautiful. Our room was super fresh and clean, and the service was absolutely phenomenal. I honestly have to give props to whoever maintains all these buildings year-round. We really enjoyed our stay!
We had a horrible experience there. I have nothing nice to say. In fact, when I did reach out to the property manager to express my tremendous disappointment, she attacked me. She sent threatening letters to me. We spent almost 1K for ONE night in their ‘Baller Suite’ as a bonus anniversary gift to each other. 30 years of marriage deserves extra celebrations, so, we believed what the people at Wylder promised us.
Bait & Switch
Not only was it an enormous waste of hard-earned money, the place left so much to be desired. That Wylder employee was very, very mean to me. Mean like it was a sport and she wanted an Olympic Medal. They destroyed The Thompson House and the TH legacy.
We just came back from another amazing weekend at Wylder Windham!
The entire staff is so amazing, they make you feel like family. Kat the GM really goes the extra mile to ensure you have the best stay possible- and we did.
Since it was the holiday weekend, they had some special events including a pop up petting zoo from the Vidbel farm. The owners Jenny and Guillaume were so kind and patient with our 9yo son who was just obsessed.
They also had a cookie decorating class, a magician, paint and sip class, live music all weekend and yoga with Mary on Sunday morning(she’s INCREDIBLE).
What more could you ask for in the Catskills??? Good food???
Well, Babblers, the hotel’s restaurant and bakery, has the best food in Windham. Special shout out to Chris, Amanda and Mia!
When sadly, it was time to check out, Sam at the desk was so helpful in booking our next visit as we can not wait to return in December, if not sooner!
$600 a night for a hotel with no shower (only a tub), no place to sit in the room (no chair), and no hair drier or functioning remote control? This is the worst price/value we have ever found in a "luxury hotel". No elevator (and narrow dirty stairs that were never cleaned during our three day stay). The pool, restaurant, and staff were great. However, this is not a luxury experience compared to glamping.
We had a great experience at the Wylder! Beautiful and clean rooms. The Sunday yoga was great. There is a 1.5 mile trail loop near the property which is perfect for a day time run or even an after dinner walk. To note there is no hot water kettle/ coffee in the rooms and the onsite cafe doesn’t open until 7 so no caffeine options for an early riser.
The Wylder Hotel is a nice hotel option in Windham that offers lots to do both on and off property. I was impressed with the size of the hotel and the many amenities guests have access to... pool, pickleball courts, wood-burning saunas, fire pits, bikes, and lots of weekend programming like yoga classes and craft workshops. I joined a guided meditation with sound bowl and it was lovely. A short walk from the property brings you to the Windham Path which is one of my favorite nature trails in the area, plus it's super close to Windham Mountain so I can imagine it's convenient for skiers in the winter. The staff was lovely and even checked me into my room early. I would recommend Wylder for families or couples, especially if you're looking for a resort that packs everything you could need into the stay.
Amazing vacation in the Catskills. My family of four and I visited last weeks and had the best time. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room comfy and cozy and quiet overall. My kids loved having all the space to run and I loved the views and just relaxing in hammock or on our balcony. The onsite restaurant Babbler's is so delicious as well.
We had an incredible stay at the Wylder! From the beginning of planning our company’s offsite, the team made sure we have every little detail figured out. The property is beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway, a business retreat or just for a relaxing time outside of the city.
