Would come here everytime I am in Kyoto.

Second time we visit Kyoto second stay at this Hotel. The Hotel is in a perfekt location if you are willing to walk a bit. You can reach so much by foot but also you have a Subway station nearby. The onsen is perfekt if you do 20.000 Steps a day.

Perfect
Pros:

What a find! Outstanding staff, amazing bath, great breakfast (except for the pancake), we don’t usually eat at the hotel restaurant but it was so good we did and we were glad of it. Amazing sake bar with a very friendly bartender that was so kind to talk about Japan and Kyoto with me.

Honestly, this hotel had me sign up to the Mitsui club and I am seriously considering staying in their hotel again all over Japan.

This hotel was better than a 5 star in Tokyo where we stayed before.

Oh another thing that was brilliant was the bathroom. And the quality of cleaning was Japanese perfection.

Cons:

Ok it’s more of a modern quirk.
But given that the staff have to help everybody with the complex check in and out machines, would it be easier if they just had the one computer at the desk and then we can just queue to check in / out?

Also you need to fix the clothes dryer.

But honestly, every staff member, the design and the place are perfect.

This hotel is perfect. The location, the staff, the facilities, the room, the breakfast, the services - everything is just phenomenal. When I'll be back to Kyoto, I'm sure going back to this hotel. Such a pleasure.
