Lovely feel and atmosphere to this hotel in a ski in/ ski out location. We loved everything about this hotel except the silly onsen access arrangements and timing. (See below). Room and its facilities were clean, modern, good design and relatively spacious. The included breakfast was good, however refills on juice, coffee and tea etc would improve things. We had dinner a couple of times at the in-house restaurant during our week at the hotel and we thought the food was generally good quality and relatively good value. Staff attentiveness and customer service was mixed, varying from excellent, to disinterested.
Need to change there hotel guest access policy to the onsen/ bath. Only being able to have general guest access in the morning and having to pay an extra 5000 yen for private onsen access in the afternoon/evening is a silly and simply price gouging arrangement. Most guests want to access the onsen in the afternoon/ evening after a day of skiing / walking or exploring. If you want to offer private onsen access booking option, don’t do it at the peak time most hotel guests want to access these facilities. So to make this time by private booking only really detracts from the hotels attraction and unless that changes we probably would look to go elsewhere which is a pity. 9 digit passcode on room doors is painful.
Ski in ski out
A bit far from town

They asian girl who works at the front desk is a rock star. She handled all of my problems so well. I will be back
There isn’t many places around the hotel to eat
Nice place. Outdated, but nice. Very friendly personnel
Sold for the price of gold despite being 30 minutes drive away from the place it is supposed to be. Ridiculously bad advice from Booking.com
Sehr freundliche Personal.
The hotel location is secluded from the busy town near a beautiful lake. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The chairlift is right outside. The hotel offers van service pickup/dropoff from various locations in town at relatively frequent intervals. All in all it was amazing.
Perhaps the lack of options for dinner at the hotel but it is understandable given the hotel's size and location.
Lobby lounge is huge with many sofas, piano and fireplace.
Onsen is bit small, no shop, shuttle frequency
The staff was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the open fire in the lounge.

The spa/sauna was amazing. We booked a private spa which was well worth it. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help out. We did not have a car which made getting around painful as the hotel is a bit out of the way but the staff were amazing and helped with transfers etc. The hotel is right off the side of one of the ski runs at Sanosaka ski resort so you walked out of the ski locker room and 10m away you were putting your board on to go down the run, was amazing. The ski lockers were super clean and heated with lockers for each room to keep your gear in.
Public transport was difficult to get to, highly recommend having your own car if you stay at this hotel. Dinner was a bit on the pricey side but always delicious. I wish the lobby bar was open as it was never open the nights we stayed.
The staffs are so helpful and friendly.
The facilities are just fitting our needs.
The decorations of the hotel are combining tradition and modernity. It is really a good spot for the stay of the ski/snowboarding activity.
The pickup and drop-off service helped a lot to make our arrival and departure easier.
