Very difficult to get to 6+hrs in a taxi from airport, then found out there was a helicopter to take us back 1/2 hr

Price and staff were inconsistent with understanding what we required but speaking to the manager he was very understanding and gave us the last dinner on the house.so all in all very helpful

The best holiday stay ever
Pros:

The location is excellent for a traveller who wants to enjoy a quiet peaceful time with family. The property exceeds in its view . The staff is amazing and very considerate to your likes and dislikes. While great hospitality is expected from the staff of Taj Hotels, the staff here went beyond and it felt like home.

Cons:

Nothing in this property that i can complain of at all.

Pros:

Taj Guras Kutir is an amazing hotel in an exceptional location with great and friendly staff! We stayed here a week and saw Kanchenjunga every morning! It was truly fantastic!

The stay was excellent. The staff were also very courteous and the rooms were also very spacious.
Pros:

The location with a scenic view of the kanchenjunga was exceptional. The hotel itself was magnificent snd rooms were excellent.

Cons:

Travel arrangements - exorbitantly expensive. Rip off. Highly unreasonable. Felt exploited when , for a drop to MG marg which is about 10-11 kms away, they said they'd charge 9,000 + GST (around 11000). Clearly, customer's comfort wasnt paid attentionto.

We wanted to extend our sincere thanks for the exceptional hospitality during our recent stay at Taj Guras Kutir Resort & Spa. From the warm welcome at check-in by Prana to the attentive service throughout, every detail contributed to a truly comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The room was clean and well-appointed, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere made us feel right at home. We especially appreciate Arun ( Manager) , Pem , Ronit, Chef Kalyan and all others who made our stay memorable.

Thank you once again. We look forward to returning in the future and will certainly recommend your hotel to others.

Pros:

The service was undoubtedly great however there are few small things which was a big turnoff. Eg or breakfast basics fruits like banana, mangoes and avacado were not available - after asking staff for 2 times we actually went to Lal Bazaar market to buy fruits as Gangtok is famous for organic fruits n we had come al way to saviour them which we didn't get. Secondly pool heated was not available. N yes the worst thing regarding throwing your hotel trash - we went to the nature trail and it unfortunately started with piles of hotel trash - we were shocked as Taj boasts of.sustainable practices so this is definitely something to work on.

However location, staff service and everything else was great and we definitely enjoyed our stay if these things could be worked on we will definitely look upto ur brand.

All in all, our stay was an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend the Taj Guras.
Pros:

The breakfast location was great, with a view of the Kanchanjunga. (Unfortunately, it was fogged in and not visible during our stay). The food had a great variety and they menu varied every day. Plus, they made fresh dosas and omlettes.
The dinners were also excellent, varied menu during our four-day stay. We would particularly like to recognize the staff, who were ever helpful and polite. Divya and Pem deserve special mention. At our dinners, Divya was sweet and attentive to our every need and comfort. Pem was similarly very attentive to our needs, particularly, Kadha in the mornings as I had developed a cold. All in all, an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend the Taj Guras.
