Fantastic.
Pros:

The view from the room is incredible, staff very helpful. Great restaurant downstairs.

Cons:

Make sure to inform guests that there is no heating. In winter- bring warm clothes

Disappointing
Cons:

The Reception desk Staff were not cordial or attentive . Breakfast menu option was very limited with Local Canned Orange juice with no option of Dosa/ Sprouts /Sausage.

Though we booked Attic Family room with Mountain view they shrewedly had given it to Foreigners staying . We got our designated room only the next day. Rooms are passable.

Management and staff are incompetent and biased towards foreign tourists. Utterly disappointed

Disappointing Stay and Significant Discrepancy Between Booking and Actual Room Allocation.
Cons:

We had booked for a Superior Queen Room with Kanchenjunga Mountain View.
Upon check-in, however, the following unacceptable situation occurred:
1. We were initially allocated a significantly lower-category room on the -2 (basement) floor. the room was extremely cold, damp.
2. There was no heating system installed in the room. When I requested heating for comfort of my small children, I was informed that a portable heater could only be provided against an additional daily charge. Charging extra for basic heating in a basement room during winter in a mountain destination is unreasonable and unacceptable.
3. When I immediately complained at reception about the clear downgrade and the cold temperature, the staff initially refused to change the room.
4. Only after prolonged discussion and insistence was an alternative room offered on the third floor. While this room finally corresponded to the correct category and matched the photographs shown at booking, it faced the busy roadside and had no mountain view at all. The explanation given was that all Superior Queen rooms with mountain view were “already reserved,” despite our advance confirmed booking.

Superb
Pros:

Really appreciate the cleanliness of the room and the premises. The staff were humble and polite, Nima is an amazing professional. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay.

Excellent stay
Pros:

Excellent location,good room,good food in the restaurant,excellent behaviour of the staff.

Cons:

After 10pm nobody from the hotel authority is available.In case of emergency where to go and what to do.Though there was no such situation during my stay

Great location in Upper Pelling
Pros:

Excellent location. Glorious views (if facing Himalaya) Hot shower. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

Would have liked more creature comforts, eg slippers or sth to cosy/warm up the atmosphere as rooms a tad sparse.
