Gion Elite Terrace

Location: the ‘main road’ is bit disappointing, but as soon as you cross it or go deep into Gion, you are in very nice area, authentic and charming. You can basically spend quite a few days exploring nearby and ignore everything in Kyoto which requires travel. Temples, pagodas, gardens and historic quarters - the area had it all.
Lots of restaurant options and main shopping area is also not so far away.
Spotlessly clean.
Balcony was nice to relax after the busy days.
Good friendly staff.
Very good omelette for breakfast.

Everything. The room was spacious, light and airy. The complimentary coffee machine which offered more than just coffee in the lobby.
The room was spacious. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Bath and shower room was lovely. The attention to detail for example: the subtle wall hooks to hang coats and bags, the light up ring mirror on the dressing table. The balcony was an added bonus. Honestly I couldn’t fault it at all and a perfect place to come back to after an early rise to sight see. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly staff who sought to assist us in every possible way. Location was close to a range of sights so that was a real positive. Further was the comfort level of the room itself which offered a sense of space - with the balcony a bonus. The bathroom was very good, clean and quite spacious. Facilities were clean, neat and gave a sense of space. Free coffee in the foyer was welcome - breakfast was of a high quality which offered a good choice. The hotel was willing to look after our bags so that we could visit the sight before and after check-in/out. Reception staff always had a welcoming smile when we returned so that was a big plus! A good place to relax and base out site-seeing in this part of Kyoto. Certainly recommended.

Zona centrale, Situato nel quartiere di Gion.
Pulito, nuovissimo, avevamo la stanza con il tatami ed il futon ed era molto spaziosa. All’ingresso si hanno a disposizione spazzolini, rasoi, creme ed altro. C’è anche il distributore gratuito dell’acqua e di tutte le bevande calde (te, caffè, cappuccino, matcha latte, cioccolato caldo e molte altre).

This is a charming hotel right in the middle of the old town Gion area. We had great room with a balcony and a little kitchen. The free washing machine was a great convenience. It was a short walk to many of the temples and restaurants.

Un hotel bellissimo, con personale estremamente cortese e disponibile. Disponibili a spedire i bagagli e a riceverli (ce li hanno fatti trovare in camera!), così come a chiamare i taxi che arrivano in 2-3 minuti. Stazione autobus a 2 minuti a piedi che porta ovunque. La zona è bellissima da girare a piedi. Abbiamo sempre fatto colazione in hotel perché anche se non economica era comunque buona e varia. Macchinetta a disposizione per caffè, matcha e altro :) Se torno a Kyoto… torno sicuramente qui!!
