Pros:

I loved the ambience. Plus learning that these places are being redeveloped in line with original style. I loved the smell of- tatami mats and cedar. The staff were great and great dining options and assistance with booking our indigo dying workshop.

Cons:

I stayed in the room with a steep flight of stairs which was fine for me but may be a problem for someone else. I would have liked a small armchair for relaxing and enjoying the ambience.

Perfect place to stay in Yame. Our hosts were great and got us booked on a fabric class

A very special accommodation
Pros:

The room, or rather the entire house was unexpected and beautiful. The green tea sampling collection was lovely and well appreciated. The entire accommodation was absolutely beautiful. Lovely people working here as well.

Cons:

There was one impractical detail, that outside the bedroom there was a street light that made it very bright during the night. Maybe an extra screen/curtain of some sort to block the light would be helpful.

Pros:

It’s a very big property as it includes the entire courtyard. Rooms were clean and it’s strategically located along the old town which makes it great to explore. Further, there was even tea tasting provided and a nice tea bag to be used for bath! Overall we had a lot of fun even though we only stayed for one night.

Nice property, just not for western people.
Pros:

It was neat and tidy. Kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed. Large fridge which was a nice change.

Cons:

Being western, no bedding, no chairs to site, considering accommodation for 8. The front of the property, where the road and walkway are right at the front, is all windows, no blinds or a way to block out the view inside. The bedrooms were upstairs, and the bathrooms down the back, so in the middle of the night, if you wanted to go to the bathroom, you needed to get dressed to go.

Grande casa tradicional japonesa con mucho incanto
Pros:

Nos alojaron en una antigua casa tradicional de Yame, cerca de un templo. La casa es muy muy grande con un jardín en el medio entre la sala y el dormitorio. Muy bien equipada y reformada . La casa tiene una energía y atmósfera difícil a encontrar . Ha sido para nosotros una fantástica sorpresa.

No poder quedarnos muchos más días !
