Section L Yushima - Ueno

Good value for money and in a great location. Easy access to 3 train stations. Quiet area and close to Ueno park and restaurants. The hotel and room were very clean. The room was a good size. The kitchenette and washing machine were also very handy!

We were 4 adults and had a connecting apartment consisting of two connected studio apartments.
Hotel staff were very helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Really nice and welcoming people!
Our apartment was very clean and comfortable. Because it’s connected we had two kitchens, two washing machines with dryer function, two bathrooms (one separate and one adjoining). It was on a higher floor and we were able to open the windows slightly for fresh air.
Hotel location was convenient to visit Ueno, Akihabara and some other less famous but nice neighborhoods by foot. Also there were 3 metro stations and one JR station within easy walking distance. The neighborhood around the hotel was quiet and nice and we had a good rest there.
The only downside was that we had to pay for additional cleaning (as many times as we wanted) and the price was slightly high.
Anyhow I think that Section L Yushima
was a very good choice.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back once in Tokyo.

Staff was helpful and hospitable, always greeted us with a smile. They speak perfect English, which was great for us because we do not speak Japanese. The location was in quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but close to all important sites. We would often walk and not use public transportation. A few lines of public transportation are just 5 minutes away, so that was great. The room is very clean and comfortable, with all the appliances you could need. All appliances are very high quality, not the cheap ones hotels usually use. The only minus is the lack of natural light in the room. The window is close to the adjacent building, so not a lot of light can pass through.

Location was great, tucked away from the noise and crowds, yet still convenient to the attractions & public transport. I chose it specifically for its proximity to the Ueno station to the Narita airport.

The room was typically Japanese small but efficient & organized. We were three so we played luggage tetris but there is storage under the bed. We were thankful for the kitchen and washer/dryer (detergent included). Everything was thoughtful. The beds were comfortable. They had already set up the sofa bed when we arrived, which was a nice touch. Like it a lot!

We have a two connected rooms at high floor, we were party of four : parents with two grown boys , like 21 and 25 .
The rooms were small but provided what’s needed for eight night stay in Tokyo.
The washing / dryer combined machine was very helpful and next time we will come with much less luggage . The hotel location is very close to metro line , actually two minutes of walk or five to other Ginza line.
The rooms are equipped with small kitchen, but when 7/Eleven is near the hotel we find it not required.
Staff is very friendly and helpful .
To summarize - very good experience, only drawback the room size , but it seems the standard in Japan

We had a great time a section L yushima-ueno! Sufficient room size compared to the rest of Tokyo, clean rooms en close to public transport en ueno itself. Staff was also friendly!

This was my family trip with my mum, the hotel was very comfortable but it is only quite far away from main shopping area. I will choose the same hotel next time.

Nice apatment style hotel near Ueno station and 2 metro lines.
Permanent lobby staff with very good english level.

We had a nice stay. Very clean. Good amenities. Good location, close to different metro stations. Convenience store on the corner. Staff was very nice.

The property is clean and great location with easy access to trains and walkable to Ueno and Akihabara. Only wish there were some sort of storage shelving to put all the goodies we bought.

Great stay for a family of four (two teenagers), small room but efficient lay out and hotel team was friendly and responsive. Great location, steps to one station and a 5-10 minute walk to another. Great Thai food and the best craft microbrewery in Tokyo just a few blocks away as well

Close to station, grocery store and 10 minute walk to Ueno Station.

Stayed there with my wife and two kids, and it was great. The room is small, but everything was very new and clean. Beds were comfortable, all appliances worked fine, and staff was always there to help with everything we needed (shoutout to Erin who helped us settle in after a 28-hour trip). Would 100% stay again

Section L was a great choice to stay in Ueno. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet and it was nice to have a little kitchenette and laundry machine. The staff was pretty friendly too.

Ottima scelta se si cerca una soluzione con anche cucina e lavatrice, che noi abbiamo utilizzato ampiamente.
Il personale molto gentile, però noi siamo rimaste 5 notti e non sono mai venuti a fare le pulizie, né a cambiare gli asciugamani. Ci è sembrato non consono alla struttura. Forse avremmo dovuto chiederlo ma, solitamente, dopo 3 notti un cambio asciugamani almeno dovrebbero farlo.

Section L was perfect for our stay. We started our trip with museums which were close by and everything else was easy to get to due to hotel proximity to subway and trains. The room was very clean and had more than we needed. We didn't need the kitchenette but it was great having the washing machine/dryer. The hotel and the neighborhood were very quiet which we liked at lot. It was nice to come back from a hectic day touring to a calming environment. The staff was very helpful with our questions and it was super helpful that their English was good.
