Location was close to the subway and walking distance from many attractions. Very nice neighbourhood and excellent staff.

Rooms are small but it was expected
Excellent location, good breakfast, and friendly staff.
Overall, the property itself appeared very clean and well maintained, but we had one extremely unpleasant experience that significantly overshadowed our stay. One of the towels in our room had human feces on it. Even after we reported this to the front desk and asked that the issue be escalated to management, the staff merely replaced the towel and chose not to address the matter further. Subsequently, I also contacted Booking, and even after that inquiry, the hotel still took no action.
I was very disappointed with the hotel’s response. While serious mistakes can unfortunately happen, situations of this nature require accountability and proper handling, as this should never be considered a routine or acceptable experience. The complete lack of acknowledgment or follow-up from the hotel was deeply disappointing and detracted significantly from the overall stay.

Beautiful Property and room size is also very decent
The hotel is very beautiful, with a stylish and well-thought-out design. Although the room was small, everything was perfectly organized to make it functional and comfortable. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore Kyoto. The luggage forwarding service was outstanding: very fast, efficient, and extremely convenient. Overall, the hotel felt modern, well maintained, and pleasant.
Upon arrival, communication was a bit challenging as some staff members did not speak English fluently. However, they were always kind and made a genuine effort to help and assist us in every possible way.
