Fabulous
Pros:

The receptionist, Soda, was incredibly hospitable! Her enthusiasm was infectious! She had an answer for every question, was very well informed about the city and what was ‘on’, she sent us little notes with extra information and booked as a taxi, which arrived in a flash, when the uber drivers had let us down! The rooms were very comfortable. There were lots of goodies, including croissants and pain au chocolate, pretty hair tyes, mouthwashes etc. The location was tucked back from the main Gion street which meant it was accessible to restaurants and very quiet.

Amazing, warm, perfect
Pros:

The bread and toaster was a nice touch. The salt bread was honestly delicious. Our front desk Soda was amazing, her suggestions for assisting with itinerary were spot on.

The most comfortable and peaceful stay in the stunning but very busy Gion area of Kyoto.
Pros:

Kyoto in general and Gion feel like they are heaving with tourists at times. It can be too much. Though this hotel is located near some major streets, it sits on a quiet side street away from the noise and madness. We slept with the window open and never heard a sound at night.
Soda at the front desk was beyond helpful, sweet and hilariously funny. She made calls for reservations for us and once when she couldn’t get through, she took her bicycle to the restaurant to investigate. This lady is a gem and so is this hotel.

Cons:

Everything was wonderful.

Kyoto in comfort
Pros:

The hotel is very small, which is preferable . Our room had two comfortable beds, a large balcony that had nice views of Gion & a temple. We loved the traditional Japanese wooden tub. The it's in were nice amenities & helpful staff. We would recommend it to others and we would stay again.

Cons:

Needed more places to hang our towels in the bathroom.

Pros:

Well positioned in the old quarter and very close from every sites but very quiet as well. Found 3 great restaurants just 100 meters away. Coffee machine in the room as well as in the reception with croissant in the morning.

Cons:

No much to say, we had a fantastic time.

Highly recommend!
Pros:

Boutique hotel, very clean, perfect location in Dion, close to metro, restaurants and bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Neben der Toplage im Gion Viertel überzeugte das Hotel mit einer sehr guten Austattung (insbesondere Betten und Bad) Begeistert hat uns der nette Empfang und die tollen Tips inkl. Maps :-)
