Perfect place to stay in Gion district!
Pros:

The location was perfect...right in the heart of the Gion district close to many restaurants and things to see and do.
The staff was so helpful and friendly- they went out of their way to make our stay perfect.

Sweet hotel in a great location
Pros:

Sweet little hotel in amazing location down a quiet street in Gion. Very helpful staff who mostly spoke excellent English

Cons:

Our room was quite small - just about room for the suitcases! - but we stayed for 5 nights and grew to love it :)
It was extremely expensive as we were there in cherry blossom season. I think all accommodation is two or three times the usual price around this time

A beautiful boutique hotel in the perfect location with fabulous staff.
Pros:

We absolutely loved our time at this boutique hotel. The location was perfect, opposite a tiny temple and close to all the historic streets and temples in beautiful Gion. The staff were absolutely lovely. Soda helped us organise our own walking tour with directions on the map provided as well as taxis to take us to the temples we wanted to see rather than a tour. The room was spotless with many extras supplied and housekeeping was 5 star. We wish we could have stayed longer as there is so much more to see in Kyoto. Thankyou or should I say Okini. 😃

I would stay here again because of the location and staff.
Pros:

I was a very traditional hotel in terms of the size of the room and amenities. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect! The room was small for 3 adults, but that is not abnormal for Kyoto.

Chill but friendly property in the Geisha district.
Pros:

Lovely hotel and friendly staff in the heart of the Geisha district. Walking distance to lots of sights. We had a great stay and especially loved the lady Soda on reception who was very friendly and fun. Okini!
