A nice hotel near Lake Yamanaka!
Pros:

Very clean, friendly staff, tasteful decor and comfortable room.
Very comfortable onsen

Cons:

I wish there is coffee in the room. I wish there is a choice of bread or toast for breakfast

Family feel in the forest, amazing mt Fuji views. Really enjoyed it here

We didn’t have a car so a little isolated from village but only a local bus ride away

施設がとても清潔で、とてもスタイリッシュで、ご飯が美味して、周りの環境が良く静かで、スタッフの方々とても親切でとても満足してしています。とても居心地が良いと感じました。

Pros:

An odd hotel. Newly built which was nice. But some weird aspects.... a fireplace in the room with no heating in it, vegan or non-vegan meals. Not value for money but not bad either.

Pros:

Very attentive staff, comfortable beds and simple but effective breakfast. Loved the second floor library, which our kids enjoyed very much.

Cons:

The private bath, while super easy to book, felt a bit tiny. Always appreciate having child-friendly utensils and cups, which weren't available (but I guess this place caters more to adults?)

Friendly but unhelpful staff with very poor English, long and inefficient check-in, and low-quality microwaved breakfast
Pros:

The rooms are big, bright, modern and clean. The onsen is private and very nice.

Cons:

The staff has no idea about almost anything. They are friendly but useless at the same time. For a hotel I would expect minimum quality to answer questions or help out otherwise why even hire anyone. Their English is poor, they were from Nepal without English skills or energy to help. The check-in process is unnecessary long, the breakfast microwaved food. Nothing I would expect and that price range. All sad points because the place as huge potential but it’s ran by the wrong management.

The only positive was their Japanese “manager” who didn’t speak a word English but he tried to be as helpful as possible to cover the gaps his colleagues left.
