Not ideal for Gion but great for everywhere else. Breakfast overpriced, but Thai dinner very good quality.
Very clean, quiet and amazing staff. Close to train station in a mostly residential area. Would stay here again and highly recommend.
Although the pool has height restriction on kids, which might be a disadvantage for families travelling with small kids, the overall stay at Dusit Thani is very pleasant!
The experience was outstanding and our room and the service was impeccable! The staff were extremely hospitable and very helpful throughout our stay. The sushi dinner was also incredible and the hotel bar was very cosy for a post dinner tipple! We will definitely be coming again when we next visit Kyoto!!

The staff didn’t know when the restaurant’s are open, one of the restaurants wouldn’t accept me as I didn’t have a reservation yet it was mostly empty…very strange for a hotel

Absolutely gorgeous stay in Kyoto! On our last trip, we stayed at the Four Seasons, but this hotel is very similar for a much lower cost. Amazing design, brand new, thoughtful staff, and lovely bar and restaurant.

This is a must-stay for anyone wanting a quiet stay in a stunning, art-forward hotel. The best hotel during our Japan vacation.
The property was beautiful and the staff was wonderful however this would be a property I would choose for work and not for vacation. It’s a bit of a walk to the train station with limited offerings for food and experiences.
Peaceful retreat with great staff! The concierge was extremely helpful in getting me some unexpected assistance with health issues. She went above and beyond! Would definitely come back here.
