Minn Gion Sanjo

The accomodation was perfect for our family, the only complaint was the confusing check in. I was lucky to have a tech savvy teenager to help me ( my son). Otherwise i would stay here again. Clothes washing machine and kitchen were super handy.

Although it was setup nicely, getting sleep at night in the room whilst there were multiple small lights on the ceiling didn’t make this a relaxing time. 2 nights were fine for us but glad it wasn’t longer.

Had a great stay here for 5 nights. Area was very walkable. Like others have mentioned check-in is a bit confusing, and we were thankful some was there to help. Spa was not working when we stayed but property contacted us in advance. Room was massive and very convenient.

Very handy for transport and shops

The room itself is nice but we had a few issues. Our first morning we woke up to very loud construction noise outside our bedroom window that was unceasing. After a few hours I requested we be moved as my baby was unable to sleep. They immediately moved us to a room on the other side of the building, which we appreciated. However the washing machine in this new room had a foul smell like sewage. After a load of washing this smell had transferred to our clothes and made the bathroom smell terrible.
Also to note, there is often nobody at reception and check in and check out is done electronically with video verification. This made communicating issues a bit more difficult without an actual person there.

Very things were okay but there was a problem. The room-key code didn’t work. After suffering about 30 minutes, we got a real hard key.

Staff was helpful. The room was great!

Amazing place and location

Spacious accommodation, location was mostly walkable. A little far with the heat but we managed to transport luggage. The check in was a little confusing, but had showed up when someone was at the front desk which helped expedite it. Can book the private onsen for family which was nice.

This place is a homelike environment w laundry inside , big space for Japan. Beautiful Sauna SPA. Great location and the place is clean and very good service. Definitely a great place to live in Kyoto

A very comfortable condo hotel, in a walking distance from Gion and shopping areas

The facility has a great quiet location, in walking distance to convenience stores, trains. about 3/4 mile walk to the main shops in Gion, the river walk and many shrines.

The facility has a private spa room which was a great feature. We had a 1 bedroom with 2 sofa beds which were comfortable, the room was spacious and had a side patio.
We speak English, limited Japanese and was able to communicate with the friendly staff.

This was the best hotel during our Japan trip. It was spacious, clean and had a tatami area. The full kitchen and balcony made our stay even more superb. It was also in a quiet area with walkable small local shops and cafes. Also a grocery store close by. It also did have a washer/dryer combo (note:was very hard to use and didn’t dry very well). Other than that, it was perfect!

Lovely hotel. Check in is all automated. Room was very comfortable although we had issues with the air conditioning not working and they moved us to one of the other locations nearby which was fine. Didn’t get a chance to use the onsen. Wish we had!

Excellent would recommend highly

Loved the location, near the Sanjo metro was nice. The AC in the room was disastrously cold and couldn’t be adjusted to a temperature. So it was either on or off. And in the bedroom the air blew directly on your face. The cold felt good at 5pm when we came back to the hotel, but not so much shortly later.

No human being, hard to contact anyone.

From check in, spacious room (triple beds), washing machine in side the room, balcony, additional tatami space, locked up storage (before checkin till 17.00) to checkout via barcode, everything is highly efficient and very very bery easy. No human intervention needed at all. The only thing is road noise since our room is facing the road. You can literally hear some passerby's conversation and all the vehicle noise. But will definitely come back again. We love it!!!
