A very welcoming and hospitable traditional Bavarian Guest House with an attached brewery: excellent breakfast and outstanding hosts. If using the train, just 5 minutes walk dfrom a direct train to Munich

Eine wundervolles und sehr gemütliches Gasthaus, für Ausflüge und Erkundungen rund um München. Mit dem Fahrrad kann man schöne Touren planen und alles ist nicht weit auseinander. Wir haben uns sehr wohl geühlt und der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Das Esssen ist sehr lecker und ganz nach unserem Geschmack gewesen.
Mit Sicherheit wird es nochmal einen Aufenthalt geben.

My stay at the Brauereigasthof & Hotel Maierbräu was wonderful. The family owners and staff were all really nice, accommodating, and made my first trip to Germany amazing. My favorite thing, in addition to the hospitality, was the hotel and how the owners have kept the tradition and furnishing over the years that give you that nostalgic feel. I struggled with my basic German and conversations in English put me at ease with no worry. The local train made it easy to get from Altomünster to Munich; there are several stops which makes getting to where you need convenient, and during journey, some beautiful views to enjoy. The on-site dining and beer options were good; I really enjoyed their own brewed Weiss beer. The only negative, which is not the hotel’s fault at all, is the town church bell that rings through the night; if you’re a deep sleeper though you won’t even notice. Overall, I’d stay here again in my future travels to Munich, Germany.

Nous avons apprécié le décor Bavarois et la propreté de la chambre.
Par contre l’hôtel se situe au carrefour de 2 routes et puisque nous avions la chambre de coin, c’était plus bruyant.

A very nice village with a cosy marketplace and beautiful colorful buildings. The hotel was very clean, great spacey family room, though the focus of the personnel appeared to be more on the beer garden/restaurant. The food is very good in the restaurant, and do try the local beers.
The breakfast was quite limited, it seemed like it had to be done quickly in between other activities. In the weekend unlimited parking in front of the hotel, throughout the week there is a parking around the corner.

Gutes Essen und echt gutes Bier !

Sehr netter Brauereigasthof in dem malerischen Ort Altomünster.
Sehr nette Bedienung. Gute bayrische Küche und ein fantastisches Bier.
Einziges Manko. Es gab keinen Ventilator für das Zimmer. Aber bei offenem Fenster, wenn die Küche geschlossen hat, ließ des sich dann doch ganz gut schlafen. Preisleistung passt ! Absolut empfehlenswert.
