The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is absolutely stunning. However, I left feeling disappointed because the experience didn’t quite match the excellent reviews.

On check-in, after travelling all day for medical treatment, I arrived 10–15 minutes before the restaurant closed. I was exhausted and initially told it was fully booked. While the terrace was full, the large indoor lounge was completely empty, so I was surprised that, as a hotel guest, I wasn’t simply offered a table there. After explaining my situation, I was eventually able to order a quick meal before the kitchen closed.

Because of that experience, I booked a table for two the following evening under my room number (301), as a friend was driving 1 hour and 45 minutes to have dinner with me. At no point was I told that non-residents couldn’t dine in the restaurant. When he arrived, he was refused entry, and only after an uncomfortable discussion did the staff finally allow him to join me. This could have been avoided with clearer communication from the start.

The restaurant opening hours are also very limited—breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. and dinner from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Extending these hours and having a more flexible approach to hotel guests would make a big difference.

Overall, it’s a lovely property in a fantastic location, but the service felt unnecessarily rigid and didn’t reflect the quality of the hotel itself.

Positiv hervorzuheben ist das Zimmer: Es war sehr schön eingerichtet, sauber und gepflegt. Hier haben wir uns durchaus wohlgefühlt.

Cons:

Leider waren wir von unserem Aufenthalt im Hotel Bergeblick insgesamt enttäuscht. Das Hotel wirkt stark als „Instagram-Hotspot“ vermarktet, und viele Gäste schienen genau deshalb dort zu sein.
Der Empfang war für uns etwas verwirrend, da die Rezeption lediglich aus einem kleinen Pult im zweiten Stock besteht.
Der Spa-Bereich konnte unsere Erwartungen jedoch nicht erfüllen. Er ist sehr verwinkelt aufgebaut und das Saunaangebot besteht überwiegend aus einer 90-Grad-Saunen.
Am meisten enttäuscht hat uns allerdings das Frühstück. Die Auswahl war eher überschaubar und es fehlte an Abwechslung. Einige Produkte wirkten auf uns nicht mehr ganz frisch. Für den aufgerufenen Preis hätten wir deutlich mehr Individualität, Regionalität und etwas Besonderes erwartet.
Zusätzlich fanden wir die Gebühr von 25 € pro Person für die Nutzung des Spa-Bereichs am Abreisetag nicht zeitgemäß. Viele vergleichbare Hotels bieten diesen Service ihren Gästen kostenfrei an.

Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Pros:

Besondere Architektur, Blick in die Natur, tolle Zimmer und Balkone, schöner Garten mit Teich und Skulpturen. Hervorragendes Frühstück. Wir durften nach dem Check-Out noch lange auf der tollen Terrasse verweilen.

Cons:

Ein Kaffeekocher auf dem Zimmer wäre schön ;-)

Pros:

The basic idea and design of the hotel and pool lodges are really good. The breakfast was excellent, small but tasty and high quality. Charging your EV is quite easy and cheap.

Cons:

The staff is not really polite respectively you get the impression that they don’t like what they do. Questions are not welcome when they questioning the „concept“ like pool, no AC etc. We had a pool lodge (with a small private pool) and ask about the cleaning process of the natural pool (it was dirty and slimy/slippery and full of dead insects) and this was not welcome. Without AC it was not possible to stay in the room during the day. So a regular price of more than €500.- per night is quite ridiculous, even our discounted one with €400.- was too much compared to other 5star spa hotels.
