Galata Masterpiece Hotel

This is a real find in the price range! A great location from which to explore. It’s easy to get around using the tram, especially to the historic district. And Galata tower district is hopping.

Loved this little hotel. It’s in a great area, close to a market, great restaurants and the tram. The room has everything you need the beds are comfortable with a fridge and water and coffee daily along with housekeeping. The employees are amazing and I am blessed to have had the chance to get to know each of them.

The staff at Galata Masterpiece Hotel are beyond exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the location- just a few minutes walking from so many attractions, restaurants and cafes. We will stay here again the next time we visit Istanbul.

Everything was great

Das Hotel ist in einer guten Lage, man ist schnell zu Fuß beim Galataturm, die Strassenbahnstation und die Bushaltestelle sind zu Fuß in 5min zu erreichen. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind Nett und können dir Informationen für Aktivitäten geben.
Es wurde erst nach 5 Tagen die Bettwäsche gewechselt obwohl in diesem Zeitraum das Zimmer 2 mal geputzt wurde. Nachts waren einige Hotelgäste viel zu Laut, dass man davon wach geworden ist, im allgemeinen hat man alles im Hotel gehört was ich nicht so gut fand.
Die Hotelzimmer sind viel kleiner als sie auf den Bildern aussehen. Im grossen und ganzen: Zum schlafen reicht es aufjedenfall, es ist halt in einer sehr guten Lage und preislich kann man nicht sagen.

Wir sind jedes Jahr in Istanbul und das war mit Abstand der schlechteste Aufenthalt.
Es ist definitiv kein Hotel sondern eine Pension mit einem mini kleinen Fenster, das so hoch ist, dass man auch nicht nach draußen sehen kann. Es gibt sogar Zimmer im Kellerraum ohne jegliche Fenster.
Ein Tresor gibt es auch nicht.
Das Badezimmer ist so winzig, das man sich kaum bewegen kann.
Lage ist Top, gibt aber 1000 andere Hotels in Karaköy, wir würden nicht nochmal hin.
Die Handtücher haben zum Teil abgestanden gerochen und einmal hatten wir eins, dass wahrscheinlich Nagelneu war und im vorab nicht gewaschen wurde.
Die Leute die dort arbeiten sind Diskret aber nett, wenn man mal eine Frage hat.
Unser Zimmer war direkt am Flur, sodass man die paar wenige Gäste die ein und aus sind deutlich gehört hat und morgens somit von den Stimmen wach wurde. Die Pension hat definitiv keine 3 Sterne wenn überhaupt 1 nen.

Nice and clean

Worst hotel and dirty and congested stay away if you don’t want to get sick .Pics are deceiving and they treat you badly and even threaten you .they are places available for better price and better spacious like Galata green land ,stick to those .Not worth money

Worst place ever,lobby is so dirty and congested so is room .pics are deceiving .There are many other hotels like elite world for lil more price .If you want to spoil ur vacation and get sick in a dusty congested dirty place this is the one .stay away if you can

The hotel was situated in a great area for easy access to the tram and bus for sightseeing.

The property was very clean, safe and a nice place to stay for a short break. The staff were polite and friendly. Definitely recommend as a nice place to stay, with easy travel and walking access around all the touristic areas in the European side of Istanbul.

Very small property. Elevator can only fit 2 persons with 2 small luggages at a time. Small reception area & even smaller bathrooms.
Wouldn’t recommend for more than 1 night.

한국인 후기가 없어서 걱정했는데 4일 동안 정말 잘 묵고 왔습니다 혼자 여행이였는데 리셉션 직원 중에 마하무드씨가 넘 잘 챙겨주셔서 감동이였어요 ㅠㅠ 사실 다 친절하셔서 쏘 감동이에요 안물어 본거도 잘 챙겨주심!
근처에 트램역이 있어서 구시가지 신시가지 다니기 다 편리하고, 아시아지구 걸어서 5분 컷이에요(유명 고등어케밥집 잇읍니다)
발코니 있는 방이였는데 쇼파도 예쁘고 침대도 편안해서 좋았습니다 적극 추천드려요!

the only weakness thing of this hotel is a drain in a bathroom wasn’t great but not that serious
다 좋은데 살짝 아쉬웠던 점은 화장실에 배수구가 잘 작동하지 않아서 샤워할때 살짝 불편했다는 거랑 컨디셔너가 없었던 거였습니다. 다른건 다 좋았어요

We stayed here for 2 nights. Mixed review.

THE GOOD

*Mahmoud and reception gave a lovely welcome, helpful, friendly. Communication was prompt and they are both brilliant.

*The location is quiet and hotel generally clean.

*We stay in Istanbul often, the most comfy beds we have found, 2 different size pillows appreciated.

*Opening door to balcony so allow very hot air to escape as hotel is extremely hot even when room controls are turned off.

THE NOT SO GOOD

*Rooms are small, bathrooms stupidly small. You cannot bend over in shower to pick up something. For a new hotel they are using linen and towels years old, thin and worn through.

*Sofa is so hard you cannot sit on it, forget using as an extra bed, sleep on floor as probably softer.

*Zero light blocking in back rooms, they hung up blackout to try to fix problem, needs addressing.

*No thought to where kettle plugs in, we had to balance it on sofa arm and connect to power from there, kettle does not self turn off when boiled, keeps going, beware as fire hazard.

*Apparently still work to complete as wires taped up in room and fridge to be added.

*No hot water one evening, addressed quickly by staff but had to wait for it to be fixed and water reheated for all of hotel before we could shower and go to sleep that night.

*Room was far smaller than it appears in photos, think tiny.
