I would have given this 5 stars except we were guaranteed a room with a balcony. We did not get that, instead we had a room on the street side. Be aware that the street side is very noisy. We never met anyone from the staff. There was a sign saying they would be available after 11 pm. The room was beautiful, bed was comfortable and having the restaurant next door was a bonus. Just nake sure to get a room with a balcony, which is opposite the street side.
•Excellent location - 5 min walk to Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia; 20 min walk to Grand Bazaar
•Spacious apartment, clean, great & comfortable bed

Physical aspects of the hotel, such as the room that is clean, spacious, and quiet. Comfortable bed, spacious and amazing bathroom, great rainshower. The location is perfect! 10 out of 10. It's just 3 min walking to Basilica Cistern, Hagya Sofia, and Blue Mosque. Despite being in the super center location, the room is super quiet. The staff was pretty helpful, though I never really met any of them when we checked in. We only met Fatih, the super nice guy in the restaurant downstairs, which we don't know if he worked only for the restaurant or the hotel. Despite this thing, the staff was very helpful too to accommodate our needs during the stay.
The general situation....there is no hospitality at all apart of Fatih that gave us the key of the room when we arrived and the staff that came to accommodate our needs when we asked something. They also left the empty bottles of the shampoo and soaps in the bathroom when they changed to the new ones (we found it out when we came back to our room after the whole day outside). This type of detail matters to show professionalism. I hope they'll improve, because we liked the room and the location.
Positives were: excellent location, very nice furnishings and bathroom, spacious room, a little boutique. Would definitely recommend (in fact, I have already suggested a friend book to stay there).
However, the front desk is not staffed during the day, and the restaurant next door is not fully equipped to handle everything. You could call, but it would take 15-30 min to get someone (so seemed like only for emergencies). Room cleaning did not happen one day and unfortunately we did need a refill on some things - but not a huge problem. Also, as it moves into high season, the owner should check out the mould developing in the corner of the room.
Nothing
We booked here and less than 24 hrs before arrival they informed us that there was a plumbing problem and we would not be able to stay there. They said they were "upgrading" us to a sister 4 star hotel. Not the case. The new hotel had great staff but the room was tiny. I booked a large room with a king bed and got a very small room with a round bed. My legs literally dangled off the edge and I am only 5'9" so I got very little sleep for 3 days. I think that something fishy is going in there as we passed by a few times and it did not look operational but they were still taking reservations in booking.com. for dates we were still there. Booking also did very little to help us as they basically took the word of the hotel that they sent us to a better property.
The room is spacious and the location is great
I can’t provide a review for a stay at Tin Suites as I had booked a 4 night stay a few months ago and the day before my arrival I received a message from Tin Suites that due to a maintenance issue my accommodation was moved to another hotel at no cost. At first I was slightly disappointed as the location was about 10 minute walk further, it ended up being a very upscale hotel for no additional cost. Tin Suites could have very well canceled my reservation and left me scrambling to find another option but they were very generous in moving our stay to a nearby, very nice hotel. I give them a 10+ for character and principle.
We booked the Tin Suites but were moved to the AJWA Sultanahmet Hotel because of works on the water system. The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated.
We were moved to the 4-stars-hotel AJWA Sultanahmet which was a nice experience and the staff was really courteous. But unfortunately we neither had the queen size bed that we booked nor the balcony that was important for us. We couldn't use the spa together because it wasn't allowed for two different genders to be in at the same time.
I had the pleasure of being upgraded to the luxurious AJWA Sultanahmet due to unforeseen circumstances. The experience was truly exceptional, as the hotel exuded exquisite charm and elegance. The super welcoming staff went above and beyond to accommodate all my needs. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!
How friendly and helpful each staff member were
The people working at Tin Suites were very welcoming, kind and helpful. The location is perfect. We had a wonderful stay there.
Everything here is a 10/10
Location is great
Room was beautiful and clean.
Service was excellent.
100% recommend.
Stayed in December
Staff are excellent and lean over backwards to help.
Accommodation I was everything required and was qyiet even though it’s a busy location with lots of good bars and restaurants to choose from.
Location is fantastic for all the big tourist sites, no more than 15 minutes even for pier for Bosporus cruises or the Topkapi palace.
Would be my first choice when I return to Istanbul.
Their staff were friendly and helpful. The room's design was beautiful and cozy.
Overall a pretty great experience! Last minute booking took us to this property because of the high scores on Booking.com. The rooms in the hotel are large compared to others I've stayed in across Europe and impeccably clean. They're also tastefully decorated, and the bathrooms have heated floors. The towels were fresh and fluffy and the water hot. High point...the extra bottles of water put in the rooms by housekeeping. The location is super awesome right up from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. We only ate breakfast one out of the three days I paid for the meal, mostly due to being totally exhausted. The offering is a prix fix with some cheeses (nothing offensive), Nutella, butter, bread, salami, and two eggs cooked in a hot pan. A little too much oil on the eggs, but everything tasted fresh. For other meals...a multitude of restaurants in the immediate area, mostly serving the same things but that is okay with us because we like Tavuk Şiş. The staff outside these restaurants will remember you and try to goad you into coming in for a bite which is part of the fun of the interaction. Recommend the Barbeque House just a stone's throw away.
If you have trouble with stairs, this isn't the property for you. The stairwell is steep and windy, exactly 47 steps to my third-floor hotel room. This isn't so much a "didn't like" but more informing others that the hotel lacks an elevator. The water for the shower had trouble maintaining a consistent temperature ie. it would get hot and then somewhat cold and then hot again. Also, one of the front desk clerks attempted to take a picture of my passport with WhatsApp and I had to politely stop that from happening. I was later afforded the opportunity to bring the passports back down and presented them to a different staff member so a win there.
