Pros:

I didn't like the entry procedure, the number dial pad outside the front door is not properly secured and jumps around when you press on it...but it does work.

But that's not the big problem with this place. We found out when we entered the apartment door - we were hit by a wall of stinking SEWER GAS smells. Holding our breath, we ran around opening all the windows and doors we could and hanging out on the balcony while it aired out a little. Later, holding my breath again, I entered the bathroom and found out where the gases are coming from - a vent in the floor by the toilet. There was a turgid fan, which ran poorly, needs replacement and was obviously being run 24/7 by every prior renter so it was in poor condition. We tried running it at night but it was so loud and klunky that we shut it off and put up with the stink. There is about a 12" space between the floor bed and the entry to the bathroom and I got the bathroom side....not pleasant. Even with the fan "running" we could never get the stink out and the whole time we were there it was a problem, to a greater or lesser degree, but always present. Look, I am not in the habit of trashing a place, but this one is old, tired and in need of a complete reno. The hot tub was full of debris from birds or whatever and needed to be cleaned out before use - no cover was available. Don't be fooled by the photos people, it is not nearly as good as it looks....and the sewer gas thing is simply unacceptable, at any price.

Great place, bad maintenance
Pros:

The apartment is really lovely and the host was very communicative and nice. That being said, there is a big issue with water leak in the bathroom and terrible sewer smell. We informed the host and they tried to fix it while we were there but to no luck. In addition, there was a water leak in the apartment underneath our terrace so one afternoon we had workers disturbing us as they were fixing it.

I tried to attach pictures but hotels.com crashes each time.
