This is such a cute, clean historic hotel. The bar and restaurant downstairs is perfect. Walkable to the Appalachian Trail. Local brewery and ice cream shop next-door.
Conner was wonderful at check in and then helping us find dinner after we arrived later than anticipated!
Great place for a gateway with a vist to Hot Spting Resort for a hot tub soak
beautiful old building with large rooms, comfortable beds and very quiet
We enjoyed our stay
Walkable to hot springs. Clean comfortable rooms.
Love this place!
This place is great. Friendly staff. The food in the restaurant is amazing. The only thing i didn’t like was that I had to leave. Didn't get a chance to try the hamburger. I highly recommend!
Quaint town
Friendly people
A rustic 146 year old Inn located in downtown Hot Springs NC with adjoining restaurant and close to many shops and venues.
We LOVE the Iron Horse!!! We stay there every year. The owners are amazing and make everyone feel incredibly welcome.
What a beautiful, historic, but modestly restored hotel in a great area. What a cool place to stay. The restaurant below the hotel had great food and atmosphere as well. Would definitely recommend.
One of the most unique places we have ever stayed. Owners very friendly. Would highly recommend this place
We were arriving a bit later but had called and let the staff know ahead of time. We arrived just after 9PM. The young lady who 'checked us in' was unfriendly and curt. We assumed she had just had a long day. The room was ok but quite honestly disappointing for the price. Cracked sink, damaged toilet seat, no bath mat (and no one around to ask for one), had to search for a plug for the tub, it was behind the tub in a dirty corner, no tv (although that's not a big deal really, just something one comes to expect). Box fan in room was extremely dusty. All in all very disappointing but we were tired and it was a place to rest.
Iron Horse Station is charming, set up like an inn with simple bed & bath and common gathering areas. It served our needs well and Hot Springs is a cute town.
Easy check in, welcoming staff. Very clean and pristine room. Can walk to brewery, shops, restaurant. Convenient and laid back town with mountain landscapes surrounding you.
Bed is comfortable and bathroom clean, would definitely recommend this unique inn!
It was OK. Has a few quirks. Wouldn't do it again. (Can't wait to read Gary's condescending response!)
