It was very well kept!
Close to the freeway, easy access. Staff is very polite and helpful-always someone available to help. They have a small laptop in the room if anything needs attention you can get help right away.
There are NOT enough parking spaces for bigger vehicles or for the volume they get on Friday and Saturday nights. This is the 2nd time we have stayed there. They changed the bathroom and added a glass door to the shower/bathtub enclosure. They need a rubber dam on the bottom of the door as the overhead shower allows water to leak out of the door into the floor. We were on the 4th floor.
I loved the Japanese inspired atmosphere and decor. The facility was very clean and quiet. Our room the pillows and bed was very comfortable. Our deluxe room also had a very large soaking bath in a huge walk in shower area. I loved it.
Only thing I did not like was that our room did not have a microwave.
The air conditioning units are quiet themselves, howver their water pipes behind the walls all make loud bubbling or gurgling sounds which kept waking me up throughout the night ( I had them move me to another room and it was the same )
The hotel was so clean and new, we loved it. The room and bathrrom were spacious and very comfortable. It had plenty of storage area, comfortable bed, and some extras in the room/bathroom. We needed an ADA room and there were plenty of safety bars and the shower was perfect.
The floors are too thin we heard everything above us. In the morning and at night it was so loud, it sounded like gymnasts were doing exercises across the floor. Also not enough parking when we got home late at night.
So nice to stay in a 日本の-style hotel !!

Front desk staff were so kind, helpful and quick to respond to any question or request. They were consistently courteous and welcoming. The restaurant wait staff was helpful, patient and friendly. The housekeeping staff were also friendly, helpful and courteous. You have an excellent team. Every room in the public and private spaces was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable. It was easy to make requests through the tablet in the room. The deep bathtub in the room, the rainfall shower head and the handheld shower head were all great. There is unsweetened ice tea in the gift shop refrigerator which I appreciate. I also enjoyed the koi pond, the Japanese garden and the entryway.
The onsen was not accessible. It needs 2 handrails of standard height on each side of the stair steps leading into the onsen - at a minimum. The steps had a single railing which was exceedingly low, perhaps knee height at best. This would be a fairly easy and inexpensive adaptation which would make the onsen more accessible for more guests.
Secondly, unfortunately, the food in the restaurant was mediocre. The wait staff was delightful but the food was overcooked or bland or unappetizing. Members of our party ate in the restaurant a total of 4 times out of convenience and the food was consistently disappointing. I am sorry to say that. I don’t like to leave negative reviews.
Finally, the mini-fridge in the room was too small to hold much of anything. It also either froze our items or didn’t keep them cold. I think you could benefit from a minifridge upgrade. We also missed having a microwave in the room.
Overall everything about the hotel was good. Very clean, new, nice staff. Wish breakfast started earlier on the weekends.
The parking lot is way too small for the hotel size. I’ve never parked at a hotel where I had to park down the street to get to the hotel. That was very frustrating.
We loved everything. From the way it looked to the staff to the layout of the hotel itself - everything was a win. Was surprised to find a Japanese-themed hotel near Portland, but was absolutely pleased with the way the theme was carried through.
We especially appreciated Aiden at the Sakai bar! Exceptionally knowledgeable and a wonderful host.

Zeer mooi hotel met mooie kamer en prachtige faciliteiten . Tevens speciaal heet relaxbad “ onsen” (allemaal inclusief)
Ons was gezegd bij aankomst dat ontbijt service tot 11:00 uur was maar toen wij om 10:35 de ontbijtzaal in liepen werd gemeld dat de ontbijtserves gesloten was. Op de opmerking van onze kaant dat de receptie had gemeld dat het ontbijt tot 11:00 werd dit bevestigt door de medewerkster maar aangevuld met de opmerking dat zij niet later mensen accepteerde dan 10:30 en werden we verzocht te vertrekken ( op een nare toon)!

Loved the location and atmosphere. Comfy beds and amazing shower and tub!
The co-ed tub was closed. Fridge was very tiny and no microwave in room.
The breakfast was excellent and exceeded my expectations. My mother and I both had the french toast. The quality was excellent and great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it.
