La struttura è bellissima , sulla laguna ma in una parte più vera e romantica della laguna di bacalar, kayak e sup gratis , bici gratis , a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro, per chi ama gli animali e pieno di gatti e cani dolci e buonissimi .. e un posto magico
La ubicacion es inigualable en la laguna, tiene su propio muelle y es muy grande, eso se agradece, esta muy cerca del centro y es un lugar sumamente seguro, excelente!!!!

The location was nice in that it was in a quiet area but still close enough to walk to the square easily. The staff was very nice. Our room had a patio that hung over the lake which was really nice. We watched the sun come up from there. They have a really nice dock with lounge/sun chairs, swings and hammocks that you could swim off of. The property has pet dogs and cats on the grounds. They are all very nice and love attention.
The price was high for what you got. Maybe it was because our room sat right on the water. Otherwise I liked everything else about it.

Het hotel was eerder twee sterren i.p.v. vijf sterren. We hadden ontbijt besteld maar dit werd door het hotel afgezegd wegens ziekte van het personeel. Er was helemaal geen personeel te zien, geen receptie, geen mogelijkheid voor een snack of drankje. De kamer was groot maar verouderd. De hele accommodatie geeft een verwaarloosde indruk. De ligging is wel top.
L'hôte est très gentil, serviable, accommoder client. Endroit paisible, zen une bonne place pour relaxer directement accès au lac qu'elle belle vue. De plus bien situé géographiquement, près de bon resto.
Les odeurs d'eau dans la salle de bain et trop d'animaux chiens et chats lousse partout.
למקום יש מזח פרטי יפייפה עם מיטות וערסלים, החדרים קרובים מאוד למזח ולאגם וניתן לקחת סאם וקיאק בחינם בכל שעות היום. הבקתות מרווחות, המיטות נוחות ומקבלים מים. אווירה רגועה במקום עם המון חתולים חביבים וכלבים נחמדים.
אין הרגשה של בית מלון או אירוח, יותר כמו איי בי אנד בי, לא ברור כל כך איפה הכניסה למקום, והצוות לא מיומן באירוח. לא מדברים אנגלית, אף אחד לא עזר לנו עם סחיבת המזוודות בהתחלה, לא קיבלנו מידע על המקום ואין קבלה מסודרת. מבחינת החדרים היינו בשניים, בראשון היה תחזוקה לקויה, ריח רע באמבטיה, ירוקת במקלחת ודלת שלא נסגרת. עברנו לחדר נוסף שם היה יותר טוב. כדי לבקש עזרה מהבעלים היינו צריכים להיכנס לבית הפרטי של בני המשפחה כדי שישימו לב אלינו, כשפנינו אליהם כן קיבלנו עזרה.
The location and the team, everyone was nice and kind
There is no path to drag suitcases to the room, but the floor is made of pebbles. One might think it was a small path.
Excelente experiencia con la gran suerte de un clima fantástico. Tranquilidad en un sitio de ensueño con muchas facilidades para disfrutar de La Laguna. El staff siempre dispuesto y muy amable.
Necesita algunas mejoras en sus instalaciones y algún detalle en las habitaciones, pero es entendible estando tan cerca de La Laguna.
La ubicacion y la cabaña en frente de la Laguna, ademas, lo staff muy amable y acogedor..
El desayuno podria ser un poco mas rico y sabroso.
Location was amazing . Perfect spot right on the lagoon where you can spend your days swimming, kayaking, bird watching etc. staff was very friendly and housekeeping did a great job tidying up our room every day. The property is a hidden paradise with sweet cats/dogs on site. It was easy to contact staff at all times.
1) should not be advertised as an ‘adults only’ property as there were children on the property that were running up and down the dock on several occasions.
2)very strong smell of sewage in the rooms throughout the day. Some days were worse than others.
3)2/6 nights we stayed there were loud parties. One night was the vacation rental beside the property and the other night the party was on the docks. Just something to be aware of.
I really enjoyed my time here at Yayum overall because it’s on the edge of town so it’s more quiet than in the center and only a short 10-15 min walk to everything. It’s a 30-45 min walk to the other end towards the cenotes.
There are also kayaks and paddle boards to use for free which was a great plus. When it’s not too windy, it’s easy to get on the lagoon and paddle out and back. I really enjoyed doing that in the mornings.
There’s also a tour company nearby (10 min walk) that’s really great and I highly recommend them, Amir AdvenTours (I went on the sunrise SUP and loved it).
As for the grounds, it’s very tropical and peaceful. Lots of friendly cats and dogs hanging out as well as two beautiful orange iguana/lizards. The kitchen never seemed to be open when I was there but it also wasn’t that full at the hotel so I didn’t mind (is a small hotel only about 8 rooms and only about 3 or 4 send in use when I went in December). There’s a little store across the street and plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
The first room I stayed in was comfy and had a king bed. It had no water pressure in the sink and you have to let the water run 5 min in the shower before it’s hot but it does get hot. Nice fridge, lock safe, coffee maker and a nice terrace with partial view of the lagoon.
I then switched to a cabana on the lagoon front and that was even better. The view was perfect and the sunrises are spectacular. The bed was comfy, and the room had hangers, fridge, coffee, windows, fan, AC and nice bathroom with two sinks. Shower was the same, let it run for 5 min to get hot water. I hated wasting water though. They put up a hammock for me on the cabana dock and it was por heaven thank you! The AC worked well.
There are also chairs and hammocks on the main dock that were perfect. Also a couple of swings in the water and stairs to go right in on the dock. Perfect to take pics!
The restaurant next door plays music all day.
They have free bikes to use, which is great, but warning that the brakes didn’t work on one of the red bikes for me. Obviously I didn’t realize this until after I left and fell down a hill because I couldn’t stop fully. I broke my sandals and hurt my feet. The girl I explained this to said it was because I was on a hill. No, the brakes should work regardless. The bikes are old and rusted which is common on a lot of places with green bikes to use/and the weather here. Just check them before you take one. I didn’t let this ruin my trip though.
Tout était impeccable, de l’échange de messages avec les hôtes, à la beauté du lieu, en passant par la propreté de la chambre, et le fait qu’ils prêtent le matériel pour le lagon (kayak, paddle, rames, gilets de sauvetage). Des hôtes très discrets qui savent être présent s’il y a besoin.
Pas beaucoup de pression dans la douche et une difficulté à utiliser la clé de la chambre dans les premiers instants.

The apartment was in a stunning location, we absolutely loved to see the sunrise in the morning. The friendly cats, dogs and birds are creating a magical, lovely atmosphere. The accommodation provides kayaks and bikes and it was an absolute pleasure to cycle around the city as well as kayaking in the lagoon: we made unforgettable memories.
The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is clean, spacious and functional.
Very small things.
There was no room service (no refill of potable water, no beds done) but once we asked to please have towels replaced the staff did it the very next day, they were very accommodating!
I'm a light sleeper and the fridge and the a/c were a bit noisy during the night, but I managed with earplugs.
