There was NO staff. We were given a key that was very difficult to operate. Then for 2 days we’re ALONE at the hotel. No one to fix the internet, or the lack of hot water. No one in the lobby to make coffe. Lobby locked the whole time. There was a nice deck to view the sunset but NO CHAIRS and no one to find them. The room had a nice balcony but it was locked so we couldn’t use it. The sink in the bathroom had major cracks, the toilet paper holder was broken. The gate for parking had a lock, but no one there to lock it at night
Very close to beach few steps only. Super modern, comfortable very private. Deposit was only $500 pesos about $25 usd cash and they return it immediately when I checked out. The restroom was very nice and modern wifi and the world. The beds are amazing I slept like a baby lol
A few barking dogs in the neighborhood at night but nothing too crazy
I love that it was so close to the beach and local stores and restaurants. Also that it was safe and it had private parking. The beds were confortable and had everything we needed.
The only thing would be the temperature adjusting to the mini split. But then again that’s all Mexico
We booked this hotel last minute for a week in January 2024. Locals were friendly and helpful although I wish I knew more Spanish, thank goodness for google translator. Check in was easy and the couple of request we had were gratefully accommodated. The owner and staff were more than helpful to ensure that we had a nice stay….very nice people! You need to keep in mind that you are in a small fishing village in Mexico and not at the Ritz in New York. The hotel is located within half a block of the ocean. We enjoyed an ocean view room and got to watch the fishing boats leave in the morning and return in the early evening. There is a rooftop balcony where we could watch the spectacular sunset every evening. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and the beds had new comfortable mattresses. There was a walk-in closet to store luggage that was appreciated, kept our room decluttered. The internet worked wonderful in the room, rooftop and pool area. The pool area was clean and well equipped but too cool to swim in January. We woke up to no hot water on Saturday morning which was fixed within 2 hours, thanks to great staff. We enjoyed great meals within walking distance. You are able to park your car in their little compound which was a plus.
A couple of negatives, you will hear dogs barking early and late and if that is a problem, bring ear plugs. Also there is a lot of broken glass as you first walk onto the beach, wear good shoes until you get farther out.
It was a great week.
