Location was great, staff good, bar and restaurant were good
Something in the room, bed sheets or whatnot gave me a HORRIBLE RASH. I’ve had hives ever since night one and they continue to bother me 3 days after leaving.
Amazing service from Bella , Kevin and Janneth in the Fairmont gold lounge. World class service and great people. Thank you for everything , regards Nick
Wonderful hotel in Los Angeles. Right in West LA next to a lovely outdoor mall. Minutes to. UCLA, Santa Monica or Beverly Hills. Nice airy rooms with balconies, relaxing lobby and nice breakfast area. The reason I’m writing this review is the staff. From all my travels this year in Europe, South America , and LA, this is by far the most professional attentive staff who use common sense and compassion to resolve any issue. All done with kindness and a smile.
Housekeeping, valet, maintenance, restaurant and especially the front desk . From Coleen, to the amazing managers Beau and Jack. Jack was so helpful throughout our stay.. I would return to this hotel whenever in LA based on the amazing staff.. many thanks for your hospitality. .
While the Century Plaza is a great property and location- the service I experienced was horrible. This is a hotel that has no hotel operator. If you want to call room service, housekeeping, the front desk, etc....all calls go to one person and then you leave a message and wait for a call back. What is worse, many times that person who gets the calls is busy and your call goes into a voicemail. The bottom line - if you ever need service and do not mind waiting in your room for a call back then this is the hotel for you. However, if you need your car - room service- housekeeping or anything else, be prepared to leave a message and wait. It appears that this hotel wants to cut staff at the expense of the guest. Good Luck.
We stayed at Fairmont Century Plaza for 3 nights in December with our family, including two young kids, and had a wonderful experience—largely thanks to Jatin Mehta, the Fairmont Gold Manager.
Jatin was incredibly attentive, approachable, and always available. From helping us with food and drink preferences to making sure our family was comfortable throughout the stay, he went above and beyond. Traveling with young children can be unpredictable, and Jatin handled every request with patience, warmth, and genuine care.
He also provided excellent assistance with sightseeing recommendations, helping us plan our days in LA efficiently. It truly felt like personalized service rather than standard hotel hospitality.
Fairmont Gold itself was fantastic, but Jatin’s presence elevated the experience significantly. His attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made our stay smooth, relaxing, and memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Fairmont Gold especially under Jatin’s management.
This visit to the Fairmont Spa Century Plaza has officially become an annual ritual for me—a 90-minute recovery deep tissue massage just before the new year—and this year’s experience was exceptional.
From the moment I arrived, everything felt seamless and intentional. Valet parking was swift and complimentary with spa validation, which immediately set a tone of ease. Taking the Cher elevator to the Spa felt like a transition in itself; upon arrival, I was enveloped in a tranquil scent and greeted with genuine warmth.
Every detail was thoughtfully curated. The robe was plush and indulgent. The Himalayan Salt Room was refreshing and restorative. The sauna was deeply rejuvenating and prepared me perfectly for the treatment to come.
My 90-minute massage was exactly what I needed to decompress and reset. Bia was extraordinary—methodical, intuitive, and highly skilled. She worked through each muscle with precision, and I could feel layers of tension and stress melting away. It was not only therapeutic, but profoundly grounding.
Afterward, I was treated to peppermint bark and horchata, a small but delightful touch, before relaxing on the hot marble bench. That final moment of stillness before descending back into the world felt intentional and complete.
Fairmont Spa Century Plaza delivers a truly refined wellness experience. This is not simply a spa visit—it is a reset, and one I will continue to return to year after year.
Hotel check-in staff were superb, smooth and very professional. Needed some specialized information and printing help... staff made it happen without a hitch. Shout out to Ashley!
We stay at the Fairmont Century Plaza on a regular basis - 3 or 4 times a year. We began our visits as the hotel was first opening. The property has been maintained to perfection and is just beautiful. Customer service is obviously a focus of management and makes our visits so special. Matthew McShane, the assistant director of front office, has been there to address any special needs we might have. He apparently trains the staff to address guest concerns and make them feel welcome from beginning to end. John, the bell attendant is always so friendly and welcoming and makes our stay very special. Edwin at the front desk has always been so courteous and cordial. The restaurant Lumiere is also a wonderful experience. Douy, the hostess, greets us like old friends as she welcomes us and sets the mood for the dining experience. Robert, the server, provides in depth knowledge of the menu. His understanding of and breadth of experience with wine has been a real treat for us. He is able to suggest wine and food pairings that make the meal special.
Overall, the Fairmont Century Plaza is one of our favorite hotels.
My stay was absolutely incredible. The service was truly first-class from start to finish—attentive, warm, and highly professional. The ambiance throughout the hotel is beautifully curated, creating a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. The quality of the products, from the room amenities to the dining experience, was exceptional and clearly top-tier. A flawless stay overall; I would absolutely return and highly recommend it.
Have been staying there for over a year and a half and the Gold Club crew is fantastic- Bella, Edras, Janneth and team. Highly recommend it!
Visited the lobby bar with a group of friends. While the hotel itself was clean, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming and the crowd came across as pretentious. Service at the bar was slow, and finding seating was difficult, most of their seating areas only accommodated four people, which made it challenging for a group of 8. Overall, the experience didn’t feel very accommodating.
Beatriz was super charming she helped us with some restaurant recommendations. Jatin made us feel like home… the Fairmont Gold Lounge is very elegant and cozy
Common areas were nice
The restaurant was very good
Rooms were very small and cluttered. There were remnants of an old minibar and other stuff taking up space in a very small room. Not what I expected for an upscale hotel.
