Auch abends kurz vor Servierschluss wurde super freundlich noch Abendessen Bestellung aufgenommen.

There are definitely several things we really liked. The rooms have been modernized and were comfortable overall. Ours was on the top floor and was a little warm, but apart from that we had a pleasant stay. The building itself looks beautiful from the outside, the location is convenient and close to the centre, and there are plenty of parking spaces. Breakfast was also good with a nice selection.

Cons:

We chose the Marlingerhof in particular because we had read about the bicycle garage in other reviews and thought it would be a good option for storing our bikes overnight.

Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment for us. The garage is somewhat hidden, but it is still publicly accessible and, during our stay, was being used to store quite a lot of bulky waste. There were also no bike racks or proper fixtures where you could lock a bicycle. We ended up locking ours to the handle of an old, broken refrigerator that was sitting there unused.

In our case, the garage wasn’t actually closed and locked until around midnight either, and as guests we were not given a key. So personally, I didn’t feel particularly comfortable leaving my bike there. For cyclists travelling with more expensive bikes, this is something I would definitely keep in mind.

There is also some room for improvement when it comes to the service. Check-in only starts at 4 pm, which is absolutely fine, but it would have been nice if the bar had been open beforehand so guests arriving early could have a drink while waiting. There was also no dedicated place to securely store luggage before check-in. We were allowed to leave ours in the lobby, which we appreciated, but it obviously doesn’t feel completely secure.

We also got the impression that the service really only got going from around 4 pm onwards. For example, we noticed that questions from other guests about things to do or places to visit in the area were sometimes answered rather briefly instead of with much local advice. A little more attentiveness and willingness to help with these kinds of questions would have made the stay feel more welcoming.

Pros:

Wir waren in einem renovierten und sehr angenehmen Zimmer mit Balkon untergebracht. Das Hotel liegt zwar an einer stärker befahrenen Straße, davon haben wir jedoch nichts mitbekommen, da unser Zimmer ruhig zum Garten hin gelegen war.

Unsere Räder konnten wir sicher unterstellen.

Das Frühstück bot eine gute Auswahl mit Wurst, Käse, Marmelade, Müsli und frischem Obst.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist der sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Geschäftsführer.

A szállás megközelíthetősége, a tisztasága, a kényeme, a rendkívül kedves személyzet, a finom reggeli, vacsora, tehát minden.

Cons:

Talán a wifi volt egyedül a gyenge láncszem, bár ez vélhetően betudható a teltháznak és a hegyeknek.
